Warhammer Fest is going to be the biggest official Warhammer event of the year – if not the decade, century, millennium, or aeon. Hosted at the 10,000-capacity Manchester Central venue in the UK, it’s going to be a full weekend packed with gaming, events, and announcements.
Several events – including the prestigious Golden Demon event – are sold out already. Make sure you add yourself to the waiting list for events you’ve missed out on – not least because these lists will help us decide where to expand!
There are a limited number of tickets available for many other events – which you can purchase on Eventbrite – but what else will be happening over the weekend?
For the Creatives
At Community Paint & Take, you will join your fellow hobbyists in painting free miniatures, which you can then take home – and we’ll feature a community display of each day’s miniatures! It’s a great way to take an hour or two to relax. You can also check out one of our Live Hobby demos to learn various techniques, or just brush up on the basics with a helping hand.
With Bring It and Click It you’ll get fantastic photographs of your miniature collections – ideal if you’ve brought along an army for one of the tournaments, or you just want a beautiful photo of your favourite individual miniature for your scrapbook.
Mega Armies on Parade is a special event running just at Fest, in which you can enter your army for judging in the spirit of friendly competition, whether you’re playing in an event or not.
For the Gamers
In the earliest iterations of Warhammer, you had a Games Master to run each game – think Battle at the Farm from Rogue Trader. Multiplayer Show Up and Play Scenarios return us to those days of yore, with custom games run by Games Masters on themed tables. They’ll have all the models you need – no need to bring your own!
Hang out between bouts at the Popup Warhammer Board Gaming Bar & Cafe, where you can grab a hot drink and play a selection of our best board games – including Warhammer Underworlds.
If bigger Warhammer games are your thing, then you can make your way to the Gaming Area for Demo Games that cover a variety of our biggest games, like Warhammer Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40,000.
And There’s More!
There are yet more facets of the Warhammer hobby to enjoy at the event, even if you’re not here to paint or play. Check out the Laser Tag Gallery for instance, for your chance to blast away a parade of the galaxy’s foulest enemies.
There will also be an area where you go hands-on with a wide range of licensed Warhammer products, including booths demoing Warhammer video games.
You’ll be able to live and breathe Warhammer in a variety of interactive areas, including an AR scavenger hunt and some themed carnival games – you’ll need the swiftness of an aelf and the stamina of an ork to fit it all in.
Warhammer Fest 2023 will be huge – six times bigger than the last! Check back on Warhammer Community for more details as we get closer to the big day.
