The Horns of Hashut Bring Misery, Death, and Fiery Destruction to the New Edition of Warcry

Header

As the new edition of Warcry stalks into position, we’re investigating the Gnarlwood and the nefarious interlopers seeking its treasures. We’ve already learned about the Rotmire Creed and their ghastly motivations, so now it’s time for their rivals from the Heart of Ghur boxed set to take their moment in the spotlight – meet the Horns of Hashut.

The Horns of Hashut take their name from the evil duardin deity they worship, and also act as his heralds of ruination. Marching ahead of his legendary duardin legions, they conquer regions, laying waste to all lifeforms, leaving behind only wastelands for sprawling daemon-forges and dark armouries. The humans that make up the Horns of Hashut have spent their lives living among the Chaos-worshipping duardin, and have long since abandoned such concepts as compassion and mercy.

Hashut, also known as the Father of Darkness, isn’t known for his subtlety in war – sneaking around and performing clandestine acts really isn’t for him. His followers seek to emulate his ideal of unleashing overwhelming violence, backed up with dark arcane firepower. Now, Hashut has turned his eyes upon Thondia for his next campaign of brutal conquest and desolation.

The Horns of Hashut have been tasked with laying waste to the entire Gnarlwood. They know if they can find the crashed Seraphon void-ship known as the Eye of Chotec, they will be able to use its terraforming engines to transform the lush forest into a volcanic, ashen desert – Hashut prefers a beach holiday to a jungle cruise.

Horns of Hashut warbands are led by the Ruinator Alpha – the most ruthless and tyrannical of the followers of the Father of Darkness. In battle, they wield a mighty twin-pronged spear or a devastating flail.
