Last year we had the privilege of unveiling a jaw-dropping 1:6 scale statue of Lieutenant Titus made in collaboration with Wētā Workshop, and soon after we teased that it was only the first in a line of illustrious Warhammer characters getting the glow-up of a lifetime. Now, with the US Open Tacoma in full-swing, it’s finally time to unveil the second – the Warmaster of Chaos himself, Abaddon the Despoiler.
This immense work of art dwarfs even Lieutenant Titus, standing almost three feet tall with immaculately sculpted details that need to be seen to be believed. It’s the ultimate collector’s piece for sworn servants of Chaos and Warhammer 40,000 fans with an eye for the truly special.
Abaddon is armed and armoured in his traditional raiment, from the haunting faces screaming their way along the blade of Drach’nyen to the wicked, blood-soaked Talon of Horus. His armour is scratched and pitted with such incredible detail that you’d believe it really had seen ten thousand years of constant war.
You don’t have to worry about recreating these beautiful paint jobs either – the statue comes fully painted from topknot to toe, picking out the dozens of intricate trophies and fetishes hanging from Abaddon’s Terminator armour.
Abaddon the Despoiler is limited to just 700 sculpted and hand-painted pieces, and is available to pre-order right now from the Wētā Workshop store. There’s still more to come too, with work already begun on awesome statues of Saint Celestine and Skagrott the Loonking – stay tuned!
