Reclaim Your Necron Empire from Tyranids and Blood Angels in Battlesector’s New Campaign

BattlesectorDLC Apr21 Header

While battle rages between the Blood Angels and Tyranids in the wake of the Devastation of Baal, a new threat awakens on nearby worlds. The Necrons faction DLC is coming to Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector, and they’re bringing a whole new, completely free campaign game mode with them. Did we mention it’s out today?

The Necrons faction features 14 new units,* from dauntless Necron Warriors to the terrifying Annihilation Barge, wielding fearsome gauss weapons and mastery of phase technology to overwhelm opponents. They offer newcomers and veterans alike a new spin on Battlesector’s strategic turn-based combat, usable in skirmish and multiplayer games, as well as the new Planetary Supremacy campaigns.

Planetary Supremacy is a new game mode available to all Battlesector owners for free, leaving the narrative Age of Crimson Dawn campaign behind to put players in control of the outcome. Whether you want to protect a world from xenos hordes, reclaim a lost dynastic outpost,** or consume all organic life, it’ll be your decisions that build your army and sweep aside all opposition.

If that means you want to see how far you can get with nothing but Canoptek Scarab Swarms and a lonely Necron Overlord with a taste for entomology? Go right ahead. Procedurally-generated maps give each battle its own challenges, so what might sweep your foe aside one day may be crippled the next when narrow chokepoints are replaced by wide open fields.

Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector is one of the latest strategy games from the 41st Millennium, giving players the duty of cleansing the remnants of a Tyranid invasion from the surface of Baal Secundus. As one of the first video games to feature Primaris Space Marines in all their glory, it continues the Devastation of Baal storyline begun in Guy Haley’s novel of the same name.

You can get the new Necrons DLC – and Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector – today on PC through Steam, GOG, Epic, Humble, and Slitherine, as well as Xbox, Playstation, and Game Pass for PC and Xbox.

* Plus a Doom Scythe, which will appear during some command abilities.

** You’ll need to own the Necrons faction DLC to use them in Planetary Supremacy, but they’ll appear as an opponent even if you don’t.
