With a galaxy as constantly conflict-prone as that of the 41st Millennium, it should come as no surprise that rare wargear and war machines still do battle on the regular. Dubbed Warhammer Legends, these precious assets are not part of their armies’ regular rosters, but can still be deployed using the downloadable rules below.
Legends are fully usable in all of your regular games of Warhammer 40,000* – in fact, we actively encourage you to use these classic miniatures at home, in store, and at your local Warhammer clubs.To get yours on the table, you’ll need their points values, which you can download right here in the Legends Field Manual.
Each faction with Legends can download their own Index document here, including a selection of Unaligned terrain pieces and units** available to all armies. Combine these rules with the faction Indexes and Imperial Armour datacards to have even more options than before.
There’s an extra document that explains how to use some models from the Heretic Astartes list in your more specialised Thousand Sons, World Eaters, and Death Guard armies – so that Khornate Hell Blade you have on your shelf can still take to the skies.
This document also includes a lengthy “counts as” list for units that don’t have specific rules of their own. Your Whirlwind Hyperios is now a Whirlwind, while your Renegade Command Squad becomes a Dark Commune. Simple!
