After a year or more spent battling in the claustrophobic confines of the tunnels below Gallet, the action in Ghur spreads to the frosty, magic-infused region of Andtor. At the same time, those innumerable wars for the fate of the Mortal Realms hang in the balance as mysterious Harbingers arrive with inscrutable purpose.
Yes, the latest General’s Handbook is imminent, and it’s going to be an essential aid for the next 12 months of competitive and thematic play in the Mortal Realms. But don’t take our word for it – WarhammerTV presenter Nick recently spoke to Matt from the Warhammer Design Studio in a comprehensive interview on the new season, the upcoming Battlescroll, and the mysteries of the Dawnbringers series. Watch it here.
As you can probably guess, this season is all about the wizards. There are loads of new magical tools in the General’s Handbook, including Primal Magic, Realm Magic, and the Nullstone Adornments you will need to put a stop to all these arcane shenanigans. The guys also touch on the other gameplay matters contained within the book.
Then there’s the latest Battlescroll – which is released today and can be downloaded below. It contains plenty of balance changes, including improvements to underperforming factions and a few tweaks to those who are doing a little too well.
And that’s not all! They also discuss the Dawnbringers series – in particular the new Regiments of Renown who accompany the fantastic new Harbingers into battle.
Dawnbringers: Book 1 – Harbingers and General's Handbook – Pitched Battles 2023-24 are both available for pre-order right now.
