Phew, we’ve barely had time to rest since Warhammer Fest Online kept us busy through all of last week, what with announcements of the final Broken Realms book, new Cadian Shock Troops options, creepy new champions for House Delaque…
Frankly, there’s far too much to go into here, so in case you missed our coverage last week we’ve selected nine of our favourite reveals for you to pore over.
Warhammer Age of Sigmar – The New Edition
With the Broken Realms saga coming to a close, and the Soul Wars coming to an end,* Sigmar’s forces are set to tackle a new frontier as they brave monsters, daemons, and undead to relight the fire of Order’s hope. We’ve already seen a bunch of amazing new models, and there’s much more to come on the horizon.
Kragnos, the End of Empires
Speaking of Broken Realms, the final book in the saga is set to arrive soon, and the star of the show has been revealed at last. Huge, angry, and very much alive, Kragnos is an unparalleled force of destruction whose arrival heralds a time of savage change for each and every realm.
Lauka Vai, the Mother of Nightmares
As the head of the Avengorii vampires, Lauka Vai is a monstrous creature capable of tearing even her fellow Soulblight limb from limb. This was not always so, however, and the heart of a noble knight still beats within her chest, ever struggling against her new bestial nature for control of her mind.
Morvenn Vahl, Abbess Sanctorum of the Adepta Sororitas
Morvenn Vahl is more than just a leader of the Battle Sisters – as a High Lord of Terra and supreme commander of all Adepta Sororitas forces in the galaxy, her authority is unquestioned even while the fiery zeal of a devout warrior courses through her veins. It’s no wonder then that the young Abbess is more often found amidst the front lines than behind a meeting room desk.
A New and Mysterious Battle Box
Warhammer Fest Online Day Five
A new battle box is on the horizon, and it seems like it’s taking a particularly mystical tone if the book of spells we saw is anything to go by. We’re sure we caught sight of a familiar face too, although our good friends at the Inquisition have told us that no such person exists…
Gaunt’s Ghosts
Warhammer Fest Online Day Three
Colonel-Commissar Ibram Gaunt is back in action with a brand new set of models, featuring several of the key characters from Dan Abnett’s legendary Gaunt’s Ghosts series. Take to the battlefield with Colm Corbec, ‘Try Again’ Bragg, and more as a unique unit for your Astra Militarum armies.
Da Beast Snaggas
Warhammer Fest Online Day Five
Da Boyz iz back in town, and the first wave of Beast Snaggas are soon to arrive in a brand new Army Box of their own. It’s the perfect way to start a new army or add reinforcements to an existing one, but don’t go thinking this is all of the new goodies the Orks will be getting – we haven’t even shown you half of what’s to come later this year.
Elathain’s Soulraid
Warhammer Fest Online Day Four
The Idoneth are finally making their way to the living mountain as the final warband released for the Direchasm season. Featuring the first-ever appearance of a giant crab in the history of Warhammer Underworlds (shocking, we know), this band of soul-thieves are determined to make their mark on Beastgrave no matter how far from the sea it might lie.
Siege of Terra Book 6: Warhawk
Warhammer Fest Online Day Three
The explosive Siege of Terra series nears its conclusion as Jaghatai Khan, the Warhawk of Chogoris, enacts a desperate gambit to relieve pressure on the beleaguered Imperial Palace. Can he take back the critical Lion’s Gate spaceport in time, or will his Legion be wiped out and sound the final death knell of the Imperium?

* See Broken Realms: Teclis for more information on how that happened.
