Download Free Rules for Some of Blood Bowl’s Most Dangerous Star Players

Blood Bowl isn’t quite right without its Star Players. These chosen of Nuffle bring flavour – and shenanigans – to the game with their unique abilities and extra-cool models.

A fair few Star Players have been released since the Second Season came out in 2020 with updated rules, emerging from the Forge World dugouts with satisfying regularity.

You can usually find rules for these virtuoso players in the perennially popular Spike! journal, card packs, or the annual extravaganza that is the Blood Bowl Almanac. But what do you do if you miss the relevant publication? No one should have to do without these titans of the game.

So to make sure these fantastic Star Players hit the astrogranite with maximum impact, we’re giving away their rules for free, right here.

Barik Farblast

What’s the missing link to perfecting the Dwarf throwing game? Barik Farblast and his ball-zooka, which he uses to hoik the ball pretty much anywhere on the pitch. He even gets a once-a-game re-roll on his Hail Mary Pass.

Frank ’n’ Stein

More than the sum of their parts, Frank ’n’ Stein is actually two deceased Blood Bowl players reanimated and stitched together into one brutal whole. So brutal, in fact, that he can bolster a successful Injury roll to keep troublesome opponents down.

Kreek 'the Verminator' Rustgouger

The only thing worse than a Rat Ogre is a Rat Ogre with a warpstone Ball & Chain. Perhaps one of the most violent star players of all time, Kreek has the strength and speed to bludgeon huge holes in his opponents’ defence, while his I’ll Be Back special skill lets him dodge his first sending-off every match.

Max Spleenripper

Max Spleenripper was once a no-name cultist who had his come-to-Khorne moment when he picked up a chainsaw for the first time. He’s now a player for hire, available to any Chaos team which wants more of a literal cutting edge. He’s so handy with it that, once per game, he can perform two attacks in a single turn.

Scyla Anfingrimm

The Bloodspawn Scyla Anfingrimm is angry about something. Erring more on the blood side of the equation than the bowl, this guy is the epitome of unnecessary roughness. And while most players saddled with the Unchannelled Fury trait can sometimes let their rage get the better of them, Scyla simply turns his first failed roll into a double block action. Terrifying.

Wilhelm Chaney

The werewolf Wilhelm Chaney is one of Blood Bowl’s goodest boys. Designated as a receiver – a rarity on Undead teams – he’s as tasty in a fight as you’d expect from lycanthropes, with Claws, Frenzy, and the special ability to re-roll an Injury roll once per game.
