This Saturday, Gryselle’s Arenai will be pirouetting their way to pre-order, prepared to perforate any perfidious foes they may encounter in games of Warhammer Underworlds. They’re also sharpening their daggers for larger engagements, with a free warscroll download for games of Warhammer Age of Sigmar.
We’ve already taken a look at Gryselle the Slaughterer, an acrobatic champion of the arena who inspires when she lands a critical hit. Today we’ll be taking a look at the rest of her crew, who speed up when they Inspire, allowing for aggressive plays.
Thrialla and Retaria are both ranged combatants, harrying foes at a range of two hexes. At crucial moments, however, Thrialla will want to be right next to her foe – that will allow her to Follow-Up each Barbed Whip attack with her Bladed Buckler and immediately Inspire. If Retaria hits, her opponent suffers a Stagger token, and she also Inspires.
Gryselle’s blade and shield are Kalexis and Traxya. Kalexis lives up to her epithet “the Silvered Blur” with a blazing five hexes of movement off the bat, and she’ll Inspire if you roll four or more attack dice – a lovely pairing with her Blur reaction, which gives you an extra dice roll for every success.
Traxya is the only member of the warband who defends on a block roll instead of a dodge. She only has one defence dice, but if she rolls a critical, she can deal a nasty Buckler Jab and Inspire. And remember, even a rolled dodge still reduces incoming damage thanks to the Acrobatic ability.
The whole warband hits extremely hard – they can’t take much damage in return, but with careful planning and judicious use of Gambits, they’ll accelerate into a whirlwind Flourish of violence.
This coterie of killers bring their gladiatorial prowess to Warhammer Age of Sigmar as well, with a free warscroll to download. As a unit, their bladed acrobatic assault is so disorientating that enemies will be forced to strike-last as they stagger around clutching at their throats. This warscroll will hit the app later in the week.
Gryselle’s Arenai will be leaping and bounding into pre-order tomorrow, alongside the Beastbound Assault Rivals Deck, giving you many new ways to play Warhammer Underworlds.
