Over the past few weeks, we’ve talked about the exciting new range expansion coming to Citadel Colour – 25 new Contrast Paints, reformulated Shades, seven new colours and a brand new pure white spray!
The new paints are all coming to stores on the 16th of July, after a two-week pre-order period which begins this Saturday. To mark the occasion, we want to invite all Warhammer hobbyists, new and old, to join us for a special celebratory event!
We hope you can join us – it all culminates in a global online event on the 17th of July, with two weeks of special editions of Hangout and Hobby kicking off on the Warhammer Twitch channel next week. Check in with your local store, as they may be celebrating in tandem!
Getting involved is easy – all you need to do is commit to painting something, and to share your progress in the run-up, or your completed models on the day via Twitter and Instagram using #WarhammerPaintathon.
What will you paint? Do you have a fresh new centrepiece model begging for your attention? Is there an old unit sitting in your pile of potential, just waiting for its chance to shine? Perhaps it’s time to try out a new technique with the new Contrast and Shade paints. Maybe you want to do your Primarch of choice proud, and complete part of your new Age of Darkness boxed set?
The Paintathon isn’t a competition – it's a kaleidoscopic, paint-fuelled party! A feast of creativity and cool Warhammer miniatures! It’s your chance to paint that miniature you always wanted to.
The Warhammer TV team will also be running an extra special series of Hangout and Hobby sessions between the 6th and the 8th of July, and from the 13th to the 15th of July. They’ll look at all the new paints, invite guests to share their completed projects, and even show off community work. All of these activities in this fantastic festival of paint celebrate the very best part of the Warhammer Community – you!
Get ready to start sharing your paint jobs on Twitter and Instagram with #WarhammerPaintathon, and sign up for the Warhammer Community newsletter so you get every bit of painting news delivered to your inbox.
