You can visit your local Warhammer store each month to collect a new free miniature. From the 3rd of August, you’ll infiltrate enemy lines with a Space Marine Scout.
Typically formed from freshly inducted Astartes, Scouts act as vanguard reconnaissance teams – taking on dangerous missions to prove themselves worthy to stand alongside their fully ascended battle brothers on the front lines. Their lighter armour and stealth skills make for ideal covert operatives when a lighter touch is required, and kill teams of Scouts excel at sabotage, infiltration, and assassination.
These miniatures will be available while stocks last, and they may differ from the one pictured. Ask your local store staff how to claim one.
With plenty of points on offer for painting progress, you’ll want to take advantage of the Pick ‘n’ Mix paints offer – choose any 10 paints and get the most expensive one free. They come in a snazzy box too, handy for keeping your colours together for your latest project. In order to paint the Raven Guard Scout as shown above, pick up the following 10 paints: Abaddon Black, Corax White (which can pull double duty for the White Scar parts), Iron Warriors, Rhinox Hide, Dawnstone, Skullcrusher Brass, Stormvermin Fur, Guilliman Flesh, Nuln Oil, and Reikland Fleshshade.
As well as a free miniature, there’s also a collectable coin. With the recent ascendance of the Great Horned Rat’s minions wrapping the Mortal Realms in a tide of verminous carnage, it’s only fitting that this month’s coin pays tribute to the great and mighty Skaven.
These collectable artefacts are a great memento of your continuing hobby journey, so make sure to check with your manager how you can get your own, while stocks last. Better yet, if you get six different coins, you can also scoop up a free presentation binder to show them off.
This month also marks a major update to the introductory miniatures which new customers can build and paint in store. To celebrate both Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar getting settled into new editions, an Infernus Marine and Liberator will be taking up the torch and getting newcomers into the hobby – and all they need to do is ask the store manager for a quick demo.
If you’ve ever thought about bringing a friend along to get involved with the worlds of Warhammer, now is the time! They can also get involved with the Battle Honours programme, which rewards them for engaging in a series of fun activities based on the key areas of the Warhammer hobby: Collect, Build, Paint, Play, and Read.
All coins and miniatures are available while stocks last, so pop in when you’ve got a chance and don’t miss out. If your store hasn’t celebrated its anniversary yet, even better – there are two anniversary miniatures on sale only during the store’s birthday week, and the 2024 pair are quite spectacular.
Find your local store with the Store Finder below, ask your local staff about their anniversary, and find out how you can take part.
