Warhammer Fest 2023 is going to be the biggest official Warhammer event ever, and it’s now less than two weeks away! If you’re still thinking of getting a ticket, then act fast as some activities are already selling out!
There will be three days packed full of things to do – in fact, there are so many things to do that you might want to start planning an itinerary so you don’t miss out on anything. We will be covering highlights from the event on this very website, but there’s nothing like being there yourself.
Luckily, we’ve had a sneak peek at the line-up of events, and we can give you the full schedules so you can plan everything down to the last minute.
First, let’s check out the venue layout at Manchester Central:
The full launch box for the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 will be revealed at Warhammer Fest – but that’s just one of five (yep, FIVE!) separate live previews spread out over the weekend.
Others will cover Warhammer Age of Sigmar, Horus Heresy: Age of Darkness, Warhammer: The Old World, Warhammer Underworlds, Middle-earth™ Strategy Battle Game, Warcry, and Kill Team. Attendees can see these previews live in the auditorium*.
If you’re not at Warhammer Fest yourself, we will be live-streaming the reveals from the previews themselves on our Twitch channel, and covering all the news here on warhammer-community.com.
Warhammer Fest will also be packed with activities, from tournaments, hobby classes, the prestigious Golden Demon competition, and lots more. To help you organise your Warhammer Fest visit, download the schedules for all three days below.
There’s a Demo Area, the New Warhammer 40,000 Experience Zone, a Warhammer Board Game Cafe, and a Hang Out & Paint Area. There’s also a whole area dedicated to our Licensed Partners, where you’ll be able to play a variety of games and chat with the people behind them.
Focus Entertainment will be there, giving you the chance hands-on with their stylish and gory retro FPS Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, and see the Collector’s Edition statue for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 in the flesh.
Slitherine will be demoing strategy games Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War and Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector, with a live knockout tournament for the latter.
If you’re a fan of digital card games, Everguild have you covered with a huge demo area. You’ll be able to play demo games and take part in tournaments for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Legions and the upcoming Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge, and there will be interactive photo opportunities, giveaways, and a developer talk.
Well Played Games will have their digital version of Warhammer Combat Cards available to play, and you’ll be able to claim Fest-exclusive in-game content and chat to the team.
Fans of mobile strategy games can meet developer Snowprint Studios, who will be at Warhammer Fest in person, letting people try out Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus. There’ll also be a Tacticus tournament at 2pm each day.
Koyo will be there, with an experience area showing off their pins. There will be a swap meet for their Warhammer pins, a paint-your-own pin area, and one lucky person will win a giant Gryph-hound plushie.
Cubicle 7 will be on hand to introduce you to their range of currently released Warhammer tabletop roleplaying games with demo sessions, product signing, and exclusive looks at upcoming products like Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay: Imperium Maledictum. You’ll be able to meet the lead designers and creative team behind the award winning Warhammer tabletop roleplaying game lines.
The collector’s statue of Owlcat’s Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader – the first ever Warhammer 40,000 CRPG – will also be available to view in person for the first time.
It’s going to be an absolutely amazing and packed weekend with loads to do, so make sure you’re well-organised with the schedules above so that you can take advantage of everything on offer and have an incredible time.
And if you’re not sure how to get to Manchester Central, here’s a handy map to help you out. We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
* Access to the auditorium for the previews will be on a first come, first served basis - with priority given to Golden Throne VIP ticket holders
