Every month, you can head down to your local Warhammer store to pick up a new Miniature of the Month completely free – while stocks last. This is the perfect chance to get a taster of a new faction or just grab a cool miniature to paint. In October, it’s the turn of the mighty Space Marines.
Codex: Space Marines is currently available for pre-order alongside new kits, including multipart Sternguard Veterans. You can claim a push-fit version of one of these long-serving warriors by heading to your local Warhammer store from the 14th of October and asking a staff member how you can get one, while stocks last.
When you’re in store, you can take advantage of the Pick ‘n’ Mix paint set offer to paint your veteran Astartes. Choose 10 paints, and you’ll get the most expensive one for free.
The Warhammer Painting team recommends undercoating your miniature with Macragge Blue Spray and then using Abaddon Black, Corax White, Wraithbone, Mephiston Red, Mournfang Brown, Leadbelcher, Retributor Armour, Agrax Earthshade, Nuln Oil, and Calgar Blue to paint your Sternguard. The video below even contains some extra steps to help make your miniature look even better.
This month’s collectable coin bears the Crux Terminatus, the emblem worn by every Space Marine Terminator, and said to contain a fragment of the Emperor’s armour. The coin will be available from the 7th of October, while stocks last. Just ask your store staff how you can get yours.
If this is your sixth different collectable coin, you’ll be entitled to a free album to store all of them in, also available while stocks last.
While you’re popping into a Warhammer store for your Miniature of the Month or collectable coin, why not take the opportunity to introduce your friends and family to the Warhammer hobby?
They’ll be able to choose a free push-fit miniature – either a Stormcast Eternal or an Infernus Marine – and they can then learn how to paint it, and even play their first game of Warhammer 40,000 or Warhammer Age of Sigmar.
New hobbyists can also get involved with the Battle Honours Programme through a series of fun activities that focus on the five key areas of the Warhammer hobby – Collect, Build, Paint, Play, and Read. Check out how you can get involved right here.
Finally, the store finder below shows you when your local store is celebrating its birthday. If they are, you’ll be able to get an exclusive anniversary miniature and a bunch of Warhammer swag when you visit – just ask the staff how you can get involved.
