Warhammer Underworlds: Gnarlwood hit the shelves on Saturday, kicking off the new season of the ultimate competitive miniatures game. To celebrate, we put a request out on Twitter for people to share their Warhammer Underworlds warbands, and our incredibly talented community didn’t disappoint. Here’s just some of our favourites.
Hrothgorn’s Mantrappers, The Wurmspat, and Ylthari’s Guardians by @_AntReynolds
We’re kicking off with three warbands for the price of one with lovely muted takes on an ogor and his crew, the Nurgle-worshipping Wurmspat, and some suitably autumnal Sylvaneth.
Steelheart’s Champions by @AlistairGWright
These Liberators are painted in the rich colours of the Astral Templars and feature a nice little conversion on Angharad Brightshield – a weapon and shield swap.
The Dread Pageant by @arbitorian
The followers of Slaanesh are usually known for their excessive behaviour in all things, but this amazing Dread Pageant proves that they can pull off the subtle look too.
Blackpowder’s Buccaneers and Zarbag’s Gitz by @DunkTwitt
Who’s cuter – Gobbaluk and Bonekrakka from Zarbag’s Gitz or Mange from Blackpowder’s Buccaneers? We can’t decide, we love them all.
The Crimson Court by @GravePainting
They might be a day late for Halloween, but there’s still plenty of blood to go around for the Crimson Court, who live up to their name with those fantastic deep reds.*
Morgok’s Krushas by @hobbitarn
These angry orruks look like they’re ready to go krumpin’. All together now, “Waaagh!”
Spiteclaw’s Swarm by @InAHidingPlace
With those green capes, have Spiteclaw’s Swarm joined the ranks of Clan Pestilens? Well, Skritch will do anything to be successful yes-yes!
Khagra’s Ravagers by @JewelKnightJess
Dour Cragan doesn’t look quite so dour in his snazzy red armour. In fact, all of Khagra’s Ravagers look great in their colourful get up.
Myari’s Purifiers by @Jytook
Here’s a beautiful, clean take on Myari’s Purifiers – just what you’d expect from the Lumineth Realm-lords.
The Farstriders by @WarsSmall
Finally, we have this wild version of the Farstriders – is their stealthy nature down to wizardry, technology, or a mix of the two?
Thanks, everyone! The new season of Warhammer Underworlds brings with it the return of Organised Play. The new packs are already on their way out into the world, and here is a list of stores that are taking part.
Head on down to your local store for a chance to win fame, glory – and exclusive prizes!
In the meantime, share your Gnarlspirit Pack and Sons of Velmorn miniatures from the Warhammer Underworlds: Gnarlwood boxed set with us on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook and you might see your name up in lights one day.
