Ever since we announced the new edition of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy, we’ve been inviting you, our fine upstanding community, to visit the new Horus Heresy website and take the Discover Your Legion quiz to find out which of the 18 Primarchs you would fight under.
Well, you rose to the challenge – in your thousands. Enough to found a whole Legion, if you weren’t split 18 ways. We’ve got the numbers below, and the results may shock you!
This isn’t a popularity contest – some Legions just encourage a unique sort of membership. The Word Bearers may be at the bottom, for example, but that just shows that Lorgar requires a greater level of devotion, austere piety, and willingness to share your soul with a daemon than most of you are willing to give.
Angron, Magnus, and the Khan are all similarly stringent with their recruits’ requirements. Not everyone is born with the gift for mounted combat, innate psychic potential, or a willingness to undergo irreversible psychosurgery. As for the Iron Hands… well, Ferrus Manus had his recruitment drive cut short.
We’re a little relieved that Night Lords didn’t top the charts, to be honest. Don’t get us wrong, you’re probably all lovely folks – aside from the love of chainblades and torture.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Loyalists like the kindly Salamanders and the unwavering Imperial Fists dominate the top half of the table. It takes a lot of guts to say you want to challenge the status quo – and maybe even some self-sabotaging recklessness. Despite that, there’s a lot of Alpha Legion in there. Come on. You can’t all be Alpharius.
Special mention has to go to the top result – the Dark Angels. First place for the First Legion? Given how divided these guys became, we have to wonder… were some of you on the way to damnation, only to be lured in at the last minute by the Lion’s charisma and the chance to wear some rockin’ knightly gear?
Whichever Legion you ended up with, just know that hundreds – if not thousands – of dedicated new recruits joined alongside you. Meet them on the battlefield, as friend or foe, with the release of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Age of Darkness. This stunning box set is on a two-week pre-order period, and releases on the 18th of June.
