The big day is almost upon us, as hobbyists around the world wait with bated breath to find out who’s crowned the Armies on Parade champion for 2021. Parade Day is just five days away, on the 20th of November, and Warhammer will be live on Twitch unveiling this year’s big winners.
For those of you joining us this year, Armies on Parade is Warhammer’s annual showcase of armies and terrain from across the community, in which hobbyists submit their best-painted models on custom boards for judging.
A wide variety of skills are considered when choosing the winners, from painting and conversion to consistency of theme and sheer imagination. Some truly remarkable dioramas can be found among previous years’ entrants.
As was the case with last year’s fantastic entries, the awards will be split into two sections:
Major category awards, awarding first, second, and third place for Warhammer 40,000, Warhammer Age of Sigmar, and Best of the Rest
Judges’ Choice awards, for outstanding entries hand-picked by our judges
All winners receive a Start Collecting! or Combat Patrol box of their choice, with first, second, and third-placed Major category winners also getting a trophy, while Judges’ Choice winners take home a medal.
We’ll also be catching up with Armies on Parade veteran and occasional judge Tyler Mengel, whose steady progress on his own army has given us plenty of great tips throughout the year.
The Parade Day awards ceremony begins at 12:45pm GMT, Saturday the 20th of November, on the Warhammer Twitch channel.
