The 500th issue of White Dwarf landed just a few weeks ago, a milestone celebrated with a bumper instalment celebrating the long history of a venerable publication.
A new miniature for Grombrindal, the actual White Dwarf, has been released to commemorate the occasion, alongside rules for using him in numerous games set in the Age of Sigmar – including Warcry.
The White Dwarf is being put through his paces in a special episode of Battle Report this week. Frequently seen wandering the Mortal Realms in search of hidden knowledge, Grombrindal mucks in with his fellow duardin, especially when they’re facing off against ancient enemies like the orruks.
Using the Quest for Knowledge Warcry mission from White Dwarf 500, the intrepid hosts of this week’s Battle Report pit the legendary Grombrindal and a band of Vulkyn Flameseekers against the vicious Kruleboyz Monsta-Killaz in a no-holds-barred brawl deep in the Gnarlwood.
Nick takes charge of these eager Beast-breakaz, but will he be able to cut the White Dwarf down to (even shorter) size? Or will special guest and games designer John be able to lead the duardin to triumph? He wrote the scenario, after all…
