We’re nearing the end of this year’s Armies on Parade celebration, and there’s only one more theme left to finish off your entries for this season – Fields of Battle, which gives your force a suitable setting on which to display its majesty. But before we get to that, let’s have a look at the Wizards and War Machines you’ve been creating over the past two months.
We wanted to witness the pinnacle of arcane and technological might in glorious miniature form, ready to support your army in battle and we were not disappointed!
@greypaintminis gave his take on Morathi’s aelven form using plenty of contrast, with vibrant green crystals under the warm reds and golds of her regalia.
This Blood Angels Redemptor Dreadnought from @nulnoil_coffee is a masterpiece in shading, with smooth colour gradients all over giving it an incredibly crisp finish.
Bright colours and clean armour give this Knight-Arcanum from @jmlminiatures a real spark of the arcane, complimented by excellent non-metallic metals.
For our final theme for this year’s Armies on Parade, we want to see your Fields of Battle. As in previous years, submissions must include a board measuring either 22” by 30”* or 24” by 24”. Your entry will be judged as much on the quality of its terrain as the models themselves.
Perhaps your Stormcast Eternals have embarked on a campaign amidst Timeworn Ruins, or you’ve built a custom corner of Hive Primus with the Underhive Market. Wherever your army finds themselves, there’s plenty of scenery to set the stage at Games-Workshop.com, and putting it together and painting it up is the final stretch before submissions open.
Entries can be submitted from the 17th of October until 23:59 on the 1st of November, so there’s still plenty of time to put the finishing touches to your masterpiece. Details on how to submit your final entry will be announced closer to the date, so keep checking in on Warhammer Community throughout September.
Our prestigious Armies on Parade awards ceremony will be held on the 26th of November, and it promises to be the finest showcase of Warhammer hobbycraft this year. * Luckily, these are the same size as the boards found in terrain packs like Battlezone: Fronteris – Nachmund.
