There are innumerable secrets to be kept and many Fallen to be hunted across the galaxy, and the Dark Angels are ready to spring into action with next week’s pre-orders. There is also a new Consul for the Horus Heresy, and a selection of Black Library books incoming.
Codex Supplement: Dark Angels
The Dark Angels are ready to hunt heretics and face the mightiest foes in the galaxy with the incoming release of their Codex Supplement. A must-have companion for anyone who wants to run armies of Dark Angels or their successors, this book contains all the datasheets, detachments, and rules you need to take to the table as the sons of the Lion.
There’s a slice of background information on the mysterious inner workings of the Dark Angels, 16 unit datasheets, and three detachments, alongside rules for a Combat Patrol, artwork, miniature photography, and a painting guide.
This book comes in a regular version and a limited Collector’s Edition variant featuring a soft-touch cover, unique cover art, a ribbon bookmark, and lavish gold foil blocking.*
Asmodai, Master of Repentance
The Dark Angels' hunt for the Fallen is ceaseless, but few pursue it with such burning ardour as Asmodai, Master of Repentance. As chief Interrogator-Chaplain, Asmodai is a master at extracting confessions and rousing his fellow battle brothers with his litanies of hate. He comes with two head choices – hood up or down.*
Belial, Grand Master of the Deathwing
Belial is a paragon of the Chapter with countless deeds to his name. Even amongst his brethren, he is a warrior of prodigious skill, fighting with the Sword of Silence and a master-crafted storm bolter. Just like Asmodai, he comes with two head choices – hood up or down, but he doesn’t hide his face behind a mask.*
Inner Circle Companions
Even amongst the Dark Angels, the Inner Circle Companions are a mysterious cadre of elite warriors. They operate in eerie silence, cutting a path through the enemy’s toughest units with their Calibanite greatswords, and protecting their commanders with vengeful zeal. Each miniature builds one of two poses, with two heads, two swords, and two backpack topper options each. It also contains a Dark Angels transfer sheet with 348 decals.*
Deathwing Knights
The Dark Angels 1st Company are all veterans, of whom only the most skilled became Deathwing Knights. Grim warriors armed with sacred relic weapons from the Chapter’s armouries, they face down the direst threats and bring the most obdurate Fallen to heel.
The Knight Master can be armed with your choice of a great weapon of the Unforgiven or a relic weapon, while the Deathwing Knights can wield power weapons or maces of absolution. The kit comes with head options, a teleport homer, a Watcher in the Dark, and a Dark Angels Transfer sheet containing 348 transfers*
Dark Angels Upgrades and Transfers
Add Dark Angels flavour to your Space Marines with this packed Upgrades and Transfers set. It contains a selection of components, including heads, arms, torsos, weapons, shoulder pads covering a variety of armour patterns, plus other accessories and relics, and a Watcher in the Dark. You also get an Upgrade transfer sheet with 217 decals which is different to the one found in the Inner Circle Companion and Deathwing Knight boxes.*
Combat Patrol: Dark Angels
The Unforgiven return to the world of Combat Patrol with a revamped box for this fast and furious Warhammer 40,000 game mode. This box contains 19 miniatures, including a Captain in Gravis Armour, three Bladeguard Veterans, five Hellblasters, and 10 Intercessors. On top of that you’ll get two Dark Angels Primaris Upgrade sprues, and three transfer sheets containing 221 decals each – note that these are different from the Dark Angels Upgrades and Transfers described above.
The rules for using this set as Master Zacharial and the Vengeful Brethren are found in Codex Supplement: Dark Angels.
Dark Angels Dice Set and Datasheet Cards
The Dark Angels know how to accessorise. Make sure you aren’t caught short at the table with the Dark Angels Dice – 16 themed dice cast in bone white with green pips and the Chapter Logo on the 6 face. The Datasheet Cards complete your collection with 20 datasheets – 16 mainline Warhammer 40,000 units, and four Combat Patrol cards) with gold foil edges.*
Legiones Astartes – Siege Breaker Consul
Masters of demolition and destruction, the Siege Breaker Consuls concentrate their allies’ efforts in battle to eliminate tough targets. Armed with a thunder hammer and phosphex bombs, this is an expert kit made from Forge World resin which comes with a choice of helmeted or unhelmeted heads – given his work in demolition, we recommend the former.
Lazarus: Enmity's Edge
Lazarus and the Dark Angels’ 5th Company have been summoned to the Knight World of Reis by Supreme Grand Master Azrael to honour an ancient promise. The warp is encroaching on realspace, and an ancient evil is brewing, but Reis consumes itself with internecine conflict and pointless politicking. It’s up to Lazarus to cut through the confusion and help his brothers fulfil their oaths in Lazarus: Enmity’s Edge by Gary Kloster. This book will be available to pre-order in hardback, eBook and audiobook formats.
Cypher: Lord of the Fallen
Find out the truth (of a sort) of the Fallen in Cypher: Lord of The Fallen by John French. This tale is a first-hand account of a breakout from an imperial jail by the most unreliable of narrators… Cypher. Hunted by Adeptus Custodes and Imperial Assassins, Cypher’s goal is shrouded in mystery, but perhaps all will become clear in time. You’ll be able to pre-order it in paperback format next week.
The End Times: Doom of the Old World
The End Times was a period of chaos and crisis that consumed the World-that-Was. Mighty battles, ancient prophecies, and devious schemes all come to a head in The End Times: Doom of the Old World, which collects five of the most important stories from this cataclysmic period, together – The Curse of Khaine by Gav Thorpe, The Rise of the Horned Rat by Guy Haley, The Lord of the End Times by Josh Reynolds, and two short stories, The Siege of Naggarond by Sarah Cawkwell and Bride of Khaine by Graeme Lyon. This collection will be available to pre-order in paperback and eBook formats.
The Purging of Kadillus
One final Dark Angels tale will be available for pre-order next week as Captain Belial and the 3rd Company travel to Piscina IV to face off an immense ork invasion. Gav Thorpe's classic The Purging of Kadillus will be available to pre-order in audiobook format.
Ciaphas Cain – Print on Demand
The next trio of Ciaphas Cain novels come to Print on Demand, starting with Death or Glory by Sandy Mitchell – the fourth book in the series. Commissar Cain finds himself stuck behind enemy lines with only a handful of survivors following a disastrous space battle, and the path to survival requires their ragtag band to battle through hundreds of thousands of angry Orks.
In his fifth adventure, Cain’s Last Stand, the Hero of the Imperium has finally put down his bolt pistol for a leisurely retirement teaching cadets in the Schola Progenium. Then, a simple riot control mission suddenly becomes a perilous struggle for survival in Duty Calls.
These Print on Demand books will be available to order from Saturday until the 3rd of March, and delivery may take up to 180 days.
On Warhammer+ this week, subscribers are treated to a Loremasters episode on the Death Korps of Krieg, a regiment of the Astra Millitarum considered grim even by the horrifying standards of the Imperium. You will also learn to paint the spectral robes of the Nighthaunt with the help of a new Citadel Colour Masterclass.
Meanwhile, on Warhammer Community this week, we’ve rummaged around and found another lovely Kroot to reveal to you all. You can also expect a renewed focus on the Dark Angels, a new reveal for the Horus Heresy.
Hang Out and Paint returns for a special episode on Monday to celebrate Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters which is getting a console release any minute now. Stay tuned tomorrow!
