Ignore the rumours, the one and only Commissar Yarrick is back. Actually, there are two of him – and loads of other classic Astra Militarum characters, who are all returning soon on a Made to Order basis.
Some of the characters might not have their own special rules in the new Astra Militarum codex, but they can certainly still be used as generic commanders and commissars.
Commissar Yarrick
The hero of Hades Hive, the Old Man, Old Bale Eye, or (to his mum) just plain Sebastian – Commissar Yarrick is one of the most storied warriors in the entire Astra Militarum.* Now, the legend returns with this classic resin model– Ghazghkull will be happy. You can also get the original Yarrick miniature from the 1990s, in metal, from the days when he was hanging around with Duinclaw too much – snip, snip!
Lord Castellan Creed
Think you recognise that coat? That’s because it ended up on his daughter! Now daddy Creed is back in resin, aiming to prove that looking cool with two pistols isn’t just for Fallen Dark Angels.**
Severina Raine
Star of Honourbound, Trials, and The Darkling Hours, Severina Raine quickly became a fan favourite. Be careful, though – she’ll just as happily execute you as look at you. She’s cast in resin.
Classic Commissars
Along with Yarrick and Raine, you’ll also be able to pick up these five classic Commissar miniatures. Whatever combination of sword, pistol, fist, and book you’re after, they’ve got you covered. Thanks to the classic peaked cap and long coat combo, they’ll still look great alongside your newer Commissars.*** Four of these are cast in metal, with the fifth wielding a sword and bolt pistol in resin.
Classic Inquisitors
Finally, you can show that innocence proves nothing with a pair of classic Inquisitors. Want to track down witches, xenos, and daemons and look fabulous doing it? These miniatures are for you! Now, you just need to decide if you’re going to be radical or puritan. The masked man is cast in resin, and his colleague with the combi-melta is metal.
Not all of these miniatures have current Warhammer 40,000 rules, but they all make great painting projects or additions to your collections. These classic kits will be available to order soon, but they won’t be around for long! Sign up for our newsletter to learn exactly when you’ll be able to get them.
* See why for yourself in Black Library’s Yarrick: The Omnibus.
** Smoking isn’t cool, though, Ursarkar! You’re setting a bad example for the Whiteshields.
