Warhammer Age of Sigmar fans might want to sit down right now, because today’s Black Library news could just make you fall over with excitement. Two new novels are on their way, one featuring perhaps the most iconic heroes of the Mortal Realms, and the other a legend from all the way back to the World-That-Was.
Hammers of Sigmar: First Forged
Even among the Stormcast Eternals, the golden-armoured Hammers of Sigmar are considered paragons of the God-King’s might. Led by Vandus Hammerhand, they were the first to bring Sigmar’s storm to the Mortal Realms at The Gates of Azyr, and they’ve been at the forefront of the battles against Chaos, Death, and Destruction ever since. Now a trio of them face new threats in Richard Strachan’s new novel.
How will the three, guided by the legendary Vandus Hammerhand, fare as they battle in the heart of the Realm of Fire? You’ll find out when Hammers of Sigmar: First Forged arrives in hardback, eBook, and MP3 audiobook editions later this year. In the meantime, you can brush up on the heroes of the Hammers of Sigmar in classic tales like Blacktalon: First Mark, Dominion, and the aptly-named The Realmgate Wars: Hammers of Sigmar.
Grombrindal: Chronicles of the Wanderer
Of all the servants of Order, the duardin are most eager to preserve their past even as they fight for a better future. Whether Fyreslayer, Kharadron Overlord, or Dispossessed, all duardin revere their ancestors, and few are held in such awe as the venerable Grombrindal – the White Dwarf.
Even when the Mortal Realms were young, Grombrindal was old. A legend even among the ancestors of the duardin in the World-That-Was, none remember all of his mighty deeds but all agree that when great need arises, this wandering hero will arrive, axe in hand, to aid his people. David Guymer – no stranger to duardin legends, having written the Realmslayer audio dramas – brings Grombrindal to life in the pages of his new book.
The Chronicles of the Wanderer will be told soon, in hardback, eBook, and MP3 audiobook versions. While you’re waiting, you can read more about the duardin in Fyreslayers, The Arkanaut’s Oath, and Overlords of the Iron Dragon.
There are two ways to find out when these, and other forthcoming books, can be in your hands. Keep an eye on the Black Library Coming Soon page to see what you could be reading next, and sign up to the newsletter for all the latest updates.
