Well, the last time we saw the “heroes” of Interrogator, Jurgen and Baldur, they were standing in the ruins of their preferred watering hole – The Voidsman – with dismembered bodies lying all around and the guns of House Klore aimed at their hearts.

How did we get here? Let’s recap…
Jurgen, our washed-up Interrogator with a skull full of barely controlled psychic gifts, has spent the last few years wallowing in misery following the death of his master, the late Inquisitor Bellona. He doesn’t blame himself for her death though – rather his erstwhile comrade turned murderous betrayer Heroth who also happens to carry the exceptionally rare Pariah gene*.
Jurgen’s self-torment is interrupted by the return of a somewhat more reliable old friend – Baldur, who drags him from his bottle and back into the hunt. Heroth is still out there, the planet is literally falling apart around them and there’s an extraordinarily evil narco-empire slaughtering unregistered psykers… more than enough trouble for a couple of hard-headed but masterless investigators.
And that’s where House Klore comes in – a bloody shootout way back in episode two saw the pair gun down a Klore Militia patrol in the city’s festering underbelly. Now, as the second act nears its conclusion, Jurgen’s past at last catches up with him.

And that brings us right up to date to the grim finale of Act II – Episode 6, The First Rule. we’re going to witness the hospitality of House Klore up close and personal as Jurgen is dragged in front of Duke Klore, where he’s made an offer he can’t refuse.

At the risk of stumbling into some pretty blatant spoilers, we’ll finish up with the following – Episode 6 is Jurgen’s long dark night of the soul. Unfortunately for our antihero though, sometimes you actually have to hit the bottom before you can start fighting your way back up… and for Jurgen, it’s going to be a hard landing indeed.
