Codex: T’au Empire
Fire up the battlesuits and raise your banners for the Greater Good, a new T’au Empire codex is here packed with lore, rules, and beautifully painted miniatures. Inside you’ll find four characterful Detachments that each give a unique spin to your armies, expanded Crusade campaign rules that task you with adding valuable new planets to the empire, and datasheets for 38 different units.
For true devotees of the Greater Good, this luxurious Collector’s Edition Codex sports a variant cover with exotic blue foil lettering, blue gilt page edges, and a black ribbon page marker. It contains all of the same content as the regular Codex, but comes wrapped up in a package with more prestige than a crisp high five from the Aun’O.
Kroot Lone-Spear
Sneak through the battlefields and pick off powerful enemy targets from long range with the Lone-spear – a natural loner who rides an agile Kalamandra into battle. They’re a fantastic stealthy sniper with an immensely accurate Kroot long gun, or they can swap their gun out for a rack of explosive-tipped blast javelins when ambushing vehicles calls for a little more boom.
Kroot War Shaper
The unrivalled battlefield experience of a Kroot War Shaper makes them a natural leader for frontline squads of Kroot Carnivores, where their ancestral weapons and incredible fighting skills inspire their fellow warriors with every kill. If the whirling bladestave and prey-hook aren’t to your taste, the Shaper can instead be built with a dart-bow and tri-blade to mix it up both in melee and at range.
Kroot Trail Shaper
Lead your army through the perfect ambush trail with the preternatural pioneering skills of a Kroot Trail Shaper. They’re excellent battlefield strategists as well as capable hunters, and allow you to redeploy key units before your opponent even has the chance to move.
Kroot Flesh Shaper
Flesh Shapers are in charge of guiding their hunting pack’s diet, deciding which fallen foes make the best post-battle snacks, and generally flensing things with their razor-sharp knives. This pack contains a single Flesh Shaper to lead your packs of Carnivores, who will fight even harder in their presence and gain extra resilience after killing a unit in close combat.
Krootox Rider
Older Krootox who’ve bonded with their riders become excellent mobile weapons platforms, where their impressive strength allows them to easily carry and brace the heaviest armaments in the Kroot arsenal. This pack contains one Krootox Rider with two weapons to choose from. Select either a large-bore tanglecannon that’s ideal for shredding hordes, or a precise repeater cannon which is perfect for putting large holes in elite troops.
Krootox Rampagers
Young Krootox are often too aggressive and impulsive to be used as mobile fire support or beasts of burden, but cohorts of particularly daring Kroot have learned to direct their immense strength towards their chosen prey in battle. This squad of three plastic Krootox Rampagers are powerful shock assault troops who can dish out breathtaking amounts of damage in close combat, and you can even double them up to form a terrifying unit of six.
Kroot Carnivores
Most Kroot warriors form into bands of skirmishing infantry known as Carnivores, whose light equipment and natural fieldcraft skills make them excellent ambush fighters, and vicious shock assault troops when the T’au find a need for close combat. This unit of 10 plastic Kroot Carnivores comes with a wealth of accessories to customise your troops, as well as options for a tanglebomb launcher and the Long-quill’s Kroot carbine.
Kroot Hounds
Range far ahead of the battle line with a pack of Kroot Hounds, whose bloodhound instincts and razor-sharp jaws make them the ideal auxiliaries for chasing down vulnerable ranged troops and isolated heroes. Each pack contains five plastic Kroot Hounds.
Combat Patrol: Tau Empire
Jump right into the fast and furious action of Warhammer 40,000 with Combat Patrol: T’au Empire – a selection of useful units that can be played in the Combat Patrol game mode with the rules in Codex: T’au Empire or used as the foundation for a whole new army. If there’s anything scarier than an Ork, it’s an Ork that knows how to sneak up behind you, and the Blood Axe Kommandos have been practising their trade since the early days of Warhammer 40,000. Solar Auxilia Basilisk & Medusa
Do those upstart Space Marines think they have a monopoly on massive firepower? Show them what for with the pride of the Solar Auxilia artillery regiments – the mighty Basilisk. Its enormous Earthshaker cannon can send high explosive rounds an astonishing distance away (far larger than most battlefields) and crater entire squads of infantry, but if your enemy is much closer and huddling behind some walls, you can also build it as a short-ranged Medusa mortar instead.
Each plastic kit builds a single tank in either the Basilisk or Medusa configuration.
Solar Auxilia Hermes Light Sentinel Squadron
Sentinels are used for all kinds of tasks in the Solar Auxilia, with the Hermes occupying fast reconnaissance and scouting roles thanks to its speed and light weight. Although they’re barely armoured at all, Hermes Light Sentinels can still put up a good fight with either a multi-laser or grenade launcher, and each pack of two plastic walkers can also be assembled as more durable Veletaris variants with extra armour and stronger guns.
