It’s already March, which means it’s almost time for the 486th issue of White Dwarf. This issue continues the love for Boarding Actions with a painting guide and new rules, plus fresh missions for Kill Team.
If the current crop of life-or-death close-quarters missions available for Boarding Actions just aren’t providing enough wacky hijinks, White Dwarf has you covered with new Manufactorum Mayhem Missions.
These shipboard scenarios introduce a fresh twist on the formula – conveyor belts that can shuffle your units around the board at rapid pace, allowing for plenty of tactical manoeuvres or unfortunate pratfalls. Cards representing the belts are also included in this issue, for use with your Boarding Actions terrain.
A Tale of Four Warlords returns in a brand new format for this issue, tasking 34 creative hobbyists with converting, painting, and writing a short lore snippet for an Intercessor or Vindictor from any Chapter or Stormhost – even one of their own design. Only 16 will make it through to next month’s challenge, before being whittled down to the final four in each system.
Gryselle’s Arenai journey deeper into the Gnarlwood to find new throats to slice, with rules and cards for Warcry. Back in Warhammer Underworlds, Glory Points builds new decks combining their gladiatorial cards with the furry (and fiendish) friends in the new Beastbound Assault Rivals deck.
You can also find printed rules for the new Regiments of Renown in Warhammer Age of Sigmar.
On top of all of this, you can read about new Orruk Waaaghs! whipped up by staff, catch up on part two of the Sump City campaign in Necromunda, and find an in-depth analysis of Hunt the Damned – a mission from the upcoming Arks of Omen: Vashtorr.
White Dwarf issue 486 is available for pre-order on the 11th of March.
