It was just last month when we announced the 2025 US Open Series, which stops in Dallas TX between 22nd and 25th May, and Tacoma WA from 17th until 20th July, and we’re also rolling out changes to the way ITC tournaments are run.
But our Aberrants in the Cult of the Many-hosted Events have been plotting the next step in their global takeover, and we can now reveal that a third event will be taking place at Game Con Canada in Edmonton, Canada between 13th and 15th June.
There will be full grand tournaments for Warhammer 40,000, Warhammer Age of Sigmar, and Kill Team; a Grand Clash for Warhammer Underworlds; a Warhammer booth for all your shopping needs; and even a Paint & Take area.
And to match the new nation joining the fold, the US Open Series is no more – it’s now called the Warhammer Open, to reflect the increasingly international nature of our flagship tournament series. Will that mean Warhammer Opens in other countries from 2026? Who knows, you’ll need to stay tuned to Warhammer Community…
Beyond the usual experience, Warhammer Open Edmonton will benefit from the dizzying array of activities at Game Con Canada, and your ticket will include a full pass to the convention. Warhammer Open participants will even be able to enter the con just a little early to ensure the full Open experience. There’s a collection of gifts for attendees, and even an epic goodie box which includes everything from battle notebooks and metal warhammer dice to objective tokens and stickers.
Winners of the major tournaments at the Warhammer Opens will win entry and airfare to the World Championships of Warhammer in Atlanta, Georgia, which runs from 6th to 9th November. This is the event to come out to if you’re eager and excited for Warhammer events in Canada!
Tickets on sale this weekend
Tickets for all of this year’s Warhammer Opens go on sale on Saturday 1st March at 1pm EST / 6pm GMT, as do tickets for November’s Grand Narrative in Atlanta GA.
For the Warhammer Open at Game Con Canada, you’ll need to purchase your ticket from the GCC website. Your ticket will also get you entry into the full convention.
For the Warhammer Opens in Dallas and Tacoma, as well as the Grand Narrative, we have a new ticketing system using Cvent.
Not only will you be able to order your tickets in one easy-to-use place, but you’ll also be able to order all your premium swag and event T-shirts at the same time.
Tickets for these events have sold out quickly in previous years, and while we’ve expanded the space where possible, you’ll need to be quick on the draw.

Warhammer 40,000 Grand Narrative: Into the Webway
The Warhammer 40,000 Grand Narrative will once again be presented alongside the World Championships of Warhammer in Atlanta, GA between 6th and 10th November.
Tickets will be on sale this Saturday, offering players the chance to participate in the largest and most immersive Narrative event around. It will involve both Kill Team and Warhammer 40,000, with 400 players and a dizzying array of immersive experiences to be had alongside and within your games.
The World Championships is an invite-only tournament for the winners of golden tickets at major events around the globe.
