The denizens of House Delaque are up to something. They’ve been patiently waiting in the shadows as the other Clan Houses received their updates – waiting, preparing, gathering information, and training their psychic pet wyrms.
Now they’re almost ready to strike with the sinister reinforcements they’re receiving alongside the upcoming House of Shadow book – a tome that’s packed with incredible artwork, lore, and rules for the malicious new fighters.
We caught a glimpse of the gangers at Warhammer Fest, but now we’ve had a sneaky look at their rules too. If you’re a fan of this mysterious Clan, you want to know what you’re about to face in the underhive, or you just love strange, malevolent miniatures, you have to see what’s next for the Delaque.
Here we see some of those shadowy Delaque combatants closing in on their prey. Is that a flying brain with tentacles? We’ll get around to that in a moment, first let’s meet the new Delaque Champions.
Nacht-Ghuls
Nacht-Ghuls are peerless assassins and saboteurs. If someone is murdered in mysterious circumstances on Necromunda, there’s a pretty good chance that a Nacht-Ghul did it – though good luck to any Enforcers trying to prove that.
In a fight, these Delaque Champions have some impressive characteristics (including a base Strength of 4), and they can strike using a unique deployment method.
And we thought that regular Delaque were sneaky.
Nacht-Ghuls can also select from a range of unique weaponry. The shivver sword gives them more chance of taking a fighter out of action, but our favourite option is the serpent’s fangs, which make your Nacht-Ghuls a fearsome Strength 6 in close combat, and it completely ignores enemy fighter’s armour.
It’s pretty clear why Nacht-Ghuls are the premier assassins in the underhive.
Psy-Gheists
Psy-Gheists are the new Prospects for a Delaque gang, and they are rare in Necromunda as they start as psykers. These fighters can choose from three new disciplines – Madness, Delusion, and Darkness – and they can even learn extra powers as your campaign progresses.
Want to pin an enemy fighter with just your mind? Choose the Spatial Psychosis power from the Delusion discipline.
But what if the enemy hides out of range when you’re trying to shoot them with mind bullets? Well, the Psy-Gheists can take an exotic beast called a Psychoteric Wyrm, which you can use as a node for your powers.
These little critters can even burrow beneath the underhive floors, giving you even more tactical options.
Now you can keep your Psy-Gheists out of harm's way while still merrily casting your psychic powers.
Piscean Spektor
If you prefer your exotic beasts to be a little larger and more brainy, then the Piscean Spektor is for you. It’s equipped with light carapace armour, and it can fly, so there’s nowhere to hide from this… thing. And with stats like these, you’re definitely going to want to keep well out of its way.
The Piscean Spektor is a great, durable option for your Delaque gang, and it’s also a psyker, so bringing it along can add even more Wyrd Powers to your force.
The new Delaque fighters are available to pre-order soon, along with the House of Shadow book. In the meantime, grab a Delaque gang so that you’re ready to claim your own part of the underhive in the name of this mysterious clan.
