Of all the war heroes in the T’au Empire, Commander Farsight is the most infamous by far – half a dozen short stories and novels have documented the curiously extended career of this illustrious yet divisive champion. Now a new chapter of his legend sees light in Farsight: Blade of Truth by Phil Kelly, unveiling the murky history between his self-imposed exile and dramatic return during the Second Agrellan Campaign.

The renegade leader began his voluntary banishment following Farsight: Empire of Lies, giving up his battlesuit and the mysterious Dawn Blade and leaving control of the Farsight Enclaves to the Eight – his hand-picked entourage. Shaken by what he had learned following the battle against Chaos Daemons on Arthas Moloch – that the ruling Ethereal Caste may be controlling his fellow T’au through more than just wisdom and charisma – and yet unable to fracture the Empire by revealing this secret, he chose to live out his days in isolation on the world of Vior’los.

Unfortunately, the Tyranids would quite like to devour Vior’los, and aren’t about to let a solitary warrior stand in their way. Throwing back their innumerable hordes would be hard enough without the insidious influence of the Ethereal Supreme Aun’va, but the arrival of a young rebel named Torchstar and the advanced battlesuits she brings may just be enough to turn the tide.
This new novel is the next instalment in the eponymous series by Phil Kelly, starting with the novella Farsight and continuing in Farsight: Crisis of Faith and Farsight: Empire of Lies.
