Warcry – Bugmansson Enters the Eightpoints!

WarCry Jul18 WarcryHeader21yhdw

By now, you’ll no doubt have seen our festive video starring the legendary Brewmaster-General and his quest to deliver the finest ale and gifts across the Mortal Realms – even in the face of some stiff daemonic opposition.

Well, not even the Eightpoints can deter our plucky duardin from his quest! Indeed, November’s issue of White Dwarf* – that’s Issue 458 if you’re counting – even has rules for using him in a special Warcry challenge battle, and that’s what we’re looking at today.

Bugmansson Nov01 Bugmansson28xj3Jakkob Bugmansson may wear the armour of a Kharadron Overlord, but when it comes to fighting, he’s old school – he’d rather stick to wielding his ancestral axe, Ol Trustworthy,** than use some newfangled firearms. Check out his profile:

WCBugmansson Dec03 BugmanssonStats1y2hnsHe doesn’t mess around – if you get within range of his axe, you’ll certainly suffer for it (in fact, he can even activate one of its runes to make it extra killy)! He’s got priceless ale – a Shot of Duardin Courage,*** no less – to deliver, after all, and has little time to waste battling the denizens of the Eightpoints.

Yet as much as he doesn’t mind getting his axe dirty in smaller-scale engagements, such as the special mission featured in the White Dwarf, Jakkob Bugmansson will usually leave open war to his duardin kin (he’s got his hands full bringing festive joy to the masses, after all).

But that doesn't mean you couldn’t use his wonderfully characterful model as a stand-in for an Arkanaut Admiral in your next game of Warhammer Age of Sigmar if your opponent doesn't mind. Alternatively, you could even kit out an Ironclad**** as Jakkob’s very own skyvessel, and place him among the ship’s crew!

As a reminder, stock of the physical copies of White Dwarf won’t last much longer, and the Brewmaster-General is only available until the new year, so order your very own Jakkob Bugmansson and Issue 458 today!

* Each physical copy of the magazine is sleeved, and comes with a special Warcry fighter card for Jakkob Bugmansson along with a handful of other goodies too!

** This axe bears the same name as that wielded by Jakkob’s rumoured ancestor, Josef Bugman. In fact, we’re pretty sure those runes look familiar…

*** This takes the form of a powerful in-game ability – we’re talking a swig of Bugmansson’s legendary enchanted ale, after all!

**** The Last Word would be an appropriate Great Endrinwork upgrade to represent how Bugmansson’s skyvessel fended off the Lord of Change assailing it during the video!
