Saturday Pre-orders – Return to the Underworlds

New adventures in the underground labyrinths of the Mortal Realms begin this week as a whole new edition of Warhammer Underworlds goes up for pre-order.

Warhammer Underworlds: Embergard

The new edition of the fast and exciting miniatures board game is finally here to pre-order, and it’s a cracker of a box for getting started with the game. Warhammer Underworlds: Embergard is packed with newly updated rules, two brand new warbands, and four separate Rivals decks designed to work with any faction in the game, so you can get playing in moments.

Clear out the ruins of Embergard as the Stormcast Eternals of the Emberwatch, or plunder the mines for valuable realmstone as Zikkit’s Tunnelpack – a technologically advanced band of scheming Skaven. The box contains a full set of tokens and dice, a complete rulebook, and a double-sided game board to tussle over.

Da Red Gobbo’s A-bomb-inable Snowman

Christmas is on the way, which means the Red Gobbo is up to his old tricks with a fun and characterful Commemorative miniature – and this time, he’s trying his hands at subtlety. In grot-speak this means packing as big a bomb as possible inside a snowman, while our eager revolutionary friend hurls explosive-packed snowballs at all of his mates.

This miniature will only be available while stocks last.

Legiones Astartes: Melee Weapons Upgrade Set

It’s here! And by jove, is it worth the wait. Accessorise your Space Marine legions with the most diverse assortment of weapons ever released for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy, packing a vast assortment of blades and bludgeons into a single pack. Inside, you get 10 chainswords, 12 bolt pistols in various varieties, over a dozen power weapons of various kinds – including elusive power lances – plus heads, hands, and all sorts of things to hold in them.

This pack contains two identical sprues festooned with parts, so you won’t have to fill your drawer of spares for quite some time. Parts are designed for use with MkIII and MkVI Space Marines, but could definitely be patched onto other miniatures with a bit of adjustment.

The Horus Heresy Blast Markers and Templates

Some of the largest weapons unleashed in the Age of Darkness covered the battlefield with explosions of truly epic proportions – so large that they need special templates much larger than your typical trio. The Hellstorm Marker is used by impressively large flame weapons that cover entire swathes of the field in fire, while the Apocalyptic Blast Marker is a single huge detonation that can cover entire squadrons of vehicles in its blast.

Lastly, the Apocalyptic Barrage Marker contains a cluster of explosions that are randomly assigned as the shells land, either spreading the damage over a wide area or dropping several rounds on an unlucky soul’s head.

White Dwarf 506

Another month, another awesome magazine filled to the brim with your favourite battle reports, hobby guides, short stories, and miniatures galleries. The 506th issue of White Dwarf brings the excitement of free-for-all and team-based multiplayer games of Warhammer 40,000 to the fore, with six new missions and updated rules allowing up to six players to battle together.

There’s also two new Armies of Renown for Warhammer Age of Sigmar, one of which collects the disparate duardin peoples into a mighty united throng under the banner of the White Dwarf himself. Want to see more of what’s inside? Check out our deep dive into this month’s issue.
