We’re not the only ones celebrating the 40th anniversary of Warhammer this year – to mark this momentous milestone, Games Workshop have collaborated with Royal Mail on a set of 10 commemorative postage stamps featuring awesome imagery from across the worlds of Warhammer.
Warhammer is a true home-grown British institution, rising from humble origins into the worldwide juggernaut it is today, and a historic collaboration like this is a clear sign of how important it’s become to millions of fans around the world. Our international friends might be a little perplexed, but trust us – having your own set of stamps means you’ve made it.
Six of the stamps feature miniatures from Warhammer 40,000, Warhammer Age of Sigmar, and Warhammer The Old World, from Space Marines and Orks to Stormcast Eternals and Dwarfs. Four more sport classic artwork from Warhammer history, including the legendary head-swinging Crimson Fist from the cover of the Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader book.
This collectible set is a real treat for Warhammer fans, and though they might not have the authority of an Inquisitorial seal, they’re surely the next best thing. Nothing crowns a thank you letter to your nan quite like the glorious visage of the God-Emperor of Mankind, although the steely gaze of Yndrasta might be a bit much – save her for paying a bill.
The Warhammer postage stamp collection is available to pre-order today from the Royal Mail website.
