Sunday Preview – Please be upstanding for the Lord Solar

It’s eerily quiet this week. Perhaps it’s something to do with the tranquillity preceding the tempest, or maybe everyone is busy doffing their caps to Lord Solar Leontus, who is receiving a stunning Black Library special edition release of one of his glorious war stories. Either way, here’s the Sunday Preview.

Leontus: Lord Solar (Special Edition)

The skies of Fortuna Minor are illuminated briefly by a saviour pod making its flaming descent as the Imperial fleet in the void above retreats, beaten back by Orkish cunning. Those stranded on the planet are forced into labour by one of the many Speed Waaaghs! overrunning its surface, with no salvation in sight. But the person who emerges from the saviour pod is no ordinary man – he is the legendary Arcardian Leontus, Lord Solar of the Segmentum Solar, and he still intends to win this war against the Orks. Rob Young’s Leontus: Lord Solar is available to pre-order next week in a glorious special edition that is fittingly lavish for one of the Lord Solar’s rank.

The book features an embossed cover with copper foil blocking, coloured page edges, and a black bookmark, with full-colour art of Lord Solar Leontus within. Each copy is numbered, signed by the author, and features an afterword. This version will only be available while stocks last.

Citadel Colour Masterclass is back this week to teach us all about another way of selecting colour schemes. Tetradic schemes use four colours, as you might expect from the name, and our presenter Ed explains how to select them, and how to apply them to your own miniatures.

Loremasters is once again digging down into what makes Dwarfs so special, with our host telling us all about what life is like in the Dwarfen Holds for the proud bearded folk who live in The Old World.

Over on Warhammer Community this week we will be revealing new miniatures for Necromunda and Warhammer: The Old World, and plenty of great stuff besides.
