Saturday Pre-orders – Join the Astra Militarum today

The Hammer of the Emperor is poised to fall on the enemies of the Imperium! The Astra Militarum gears up for deployment with a new army set dedicated to the grim and determined Death Korps of Krieg.

That’s not all this month – there are new heroes and returning classics for the new edition of the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game.

Death Korps of Krieg Army Set

The masters of siege warfare arrive in force, ready to weather enemy assaults and strike back with sheer strength of numbers. The Death Korps of Krieg Army Set provides a hard-hitting Death Rider lance of 10 models, led by Lord Marshal Dreir. They are supported by a team of five Krieg Combat Engineers with a remote mine, and an artillery team which can become a heavy mortar, a siege cannon, a heavy quad launcher, or a multiple rocket launcher.

You also get a copy of the new 168-page Codex: Astra Militarum with unique cover art, a pack of 68 gameplay aid cards, including all 64 datasheet cards, and a Death Korps of Krieg transfer sheet with 803 decals.

Battlefield Trophies

Decorate your Warhammer 40,000 bases with your choice of skulls cruelly separated from their owners with the Battlefield Trophies set. This box contains 288 plastic base-topper components, including the remains of a crushed Space Marine. The rest of the box is a mix of skulls, helmets and heads from a variety of factions from Warhammer 40,000. Perfect fodder for your bases and perhaps grisly trophy rack conversions.

Haleth™ & Háma™, Princes of Rohan

The Princes of Rohan stand ready to save their homeland in the new edition of the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game. Haleth is a keen and courageous soul who lives a warrior’s life, while the younger prince Háma is as much a poet as he is a fighter. Both see it as their duty to protect Edoras, and you can use these Heroes of Valour for the Army of Edoras. Both Princes are made from plastic, and come supplied as mounted and unmounted versions.*

Wulf™, High Lord of the Hill Tribes & General Targg™

Wulf swore vengeance on the King of Rohan for the death of his father Freca, raising an army of Hill Tribesmen in his banishment; he now returns to Edoras to unleash his fury. He is joined by the calm and collected General Targg, a trusted advisor of Wulf who shares his young liege’s disdain for the Rohirrim. Both heroes are made from plastic and can be used as Usurpers of Edoras and Besiegers of the Hornburg armies, and come supplied as mounted and unmounted versions.*

Héra™, The Bride of Death

Héra chose to take a risky gamble, recovering a long-abandoned wedding dress and striding out from the safety of the Hornburg to taunt the nefarious Dunlending lord Wulf. Héra, the Bride of Death is a Legendary Hero for the Defenders of Rohan, and is made from Forge World resin.*

Shank™ & Wrot™, Orc Scavengers

The tunnels of the White Mountain crawl with Orcs in the service of Mordor, searching high and low for a simple gold ring. The slight Shank and his boisterous companion Wrot use the chaos of the Siege of the Hornburg as a chance to scavenge and plunder. Bad enough as a pair, they can also summon a massive Snow Troll to protect them as they attend to their mission. This set contains Shank, Wrot and a Snow Troll, and forms a Minor Heroes unit for the Besiegers of the Hornburg. All three miniatures are made from Forge World resin.*

There are also a series of re-releases for the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game.

The forces of Good are reinforced in resin with Bard the Hero of Lake-town (a two pack featuring Bard the Bowman and Bard with Windlance), Thranduil, King of Mirkwood, an Iron Hills Ballista with four crew, and a Gondor Battlecry Trebuchet with three crew.*

The less salubrious armies of Middle-earth are bolstered in plastic by the Goblin King & Retinue – featuring Grinnah, The Goblin Sscribe, a captain, and throne – the Trolls Bill, Bert and Tom (and their campfire), and Uruk-Hai Siege Troops comprising eight Uruk-Hai engineers, two berserkers, four ladders, and two demolition charges.*

In resin there are two war machines, the Isengard Assault Ballista with three crew, and the Mordor War Catapult, also with three crew, and a Siege Troll. There’s also the Gundabad Orc Warband, which features a captain, six warriors with spears, and six with swords and shields. Finally, you can own the nightmarish creature known as The Watcher in the Water.*

Rounding things out are a handful of metal options, including Gorbag and Shagrat, a trio of Morrannon Orc Commanders and another three Mordor Orc Commanders. Finally, yes, you can also have a Cave Troll. Gimli hates this.*

Returning Middle-earth™ Strategy Battle Game Terrain

With the focus firmly on the Rohirrim, now is the time to create your own Rohan settlement or stronghold. Three returning products have everything you need to build a worthy tabletop battlefield. The Rohan House is a single house with two fences and two barrels, the Rohan Watch Tower and Palisades kit comes with one watchtower, four palisades, two palisade ladders, and a watchtower ladder, while the massive Rohan Stronghold bundles six house sets together with two Rohan Watchtower & Palisades kits.

Leontus: Lord Solar

The Imperium is in full retreat from Fortuna Minor after a major loss against the Orks, leaving a planet overrun by Speed Waaagh!s and a population forced to build mad weapons in the images of xenos gods. Hope emerges from a saviour pod launched by the stricken Imperial fleet: Arcadian Leontus, the Lord Command of the Solar Segmentum himself, steps out into this ongoing catastrophe with just one thought. He will win the war against the Orks, even without the support of his armies. You can pre-order Ron Young’s Leontus: Lord Solar in hardback, eBook, and audiobook formats.

Soldiers of the Imperium

The ordinary men and women of the Astra Militarum are the bedrock of the Imperium, and without their blood, sweat and tears, even the much-vaunted Space Marines would struggle to protect humanity from the dark. Soldiers of the Imperium is an omnibus celebrating the exploits of these beleaguered warriors, collecting the novels Death World by Steve Lyons, Kasrkin by Edoardo Albert, and Witchbringer by Steven B Fischer alongside four short stories by Fischer. Pre-order it in paperback and eBook editions.

Renegades: Lord of Excess

Xantine, leader of the Adored, has been raiding and pillaging words in service to his Legion for thousands of years, eking out a violent life among the stars, but satisfaction is rare for the Emperor’s Children and, as a true son of Fulgrim, he finds himself wanting more. The isolated world of Serrine contains a stockpile of rejuvenat treatments reserved for the wealthy elite, and it’s festering under misrule. It’s the perfect place for a charismatic and ambitious warlord to attempt to attain perfection – against all the odds. Renegades: Lord of Excess by Rich McCormick is available to pre-order in paperback

Requiem Infernal

After clashing with a lethal xenos entity, the bedraggled survivors of an Astra Militarum company are led to a nearby planet known as Candleworld by the mysterious Sister Hospitaller Asenath Hyades. This strange and stricken sanctuary world where the Adepta Sororitas of the Last Candle keep vigil hides a dark secret. Pre-order this as an audiobook.

Broken Crusade (French Edition)

The Black Templars of the Second Dorean Crusade tear through the void to join the crusade fleet on the shrine world of Tempest, which is under attack by the murderous warbands of the Blood God. When a violent warp storm scatters the fleet, the Dauntless Honour is left battered and alone. Besieged by doubt, Castellan Emeric and his brothers must cling to their faith and carve a way to Tempest where a furious battle awaits, though victory may be more than even these zealous warriors are prepared to pay. Steven B Fischer’s Broken Crusade is available in French in paperback and eBook formats.

Dead Men Walking  (French Edition)

When Necrons awaken on an Imperial mining world, the threat of their inexorable legions is answered by the arrival of the equally implacable Death Korps of Krieg.

Steve Lyons’ classic novel Dead Men Walking is available to pre-order in French in paperback and eBook editions.

Oaths of Damnation (German Edition)

To battle the twisted forces of Chaos, the Exorcists dabble with some truly dark power – allowing Daemons to possess them so they may prove themselves worthy. When this process fails, the result is the Broken Ones: living prisons for the entities expelled from their brethren. The Chapter guards this secret closely, and when one of the Broken Ones somehow escapes, Daggan Zaidu and the Hexbreakers must hunt them down before the truth is revealed to the wider Imperium. Oaths of Damnation by Robbie MacNiven is available to pre-order now in German in paperback and eBook editions.
