Unless you’ve been lost in the warp for the past couple of weeks, you’ll no doubt be aware that we recently revealed the next wave of Warhammer Animations. As if that wasn't enough to send you into a state of blissful delirium, we're back with more intel on another animated project – Hammer and Bolter.
Each episode of Hammer and Bolter we're showcasing today tells a unique, one-off story that provides a different perspective on life (and, quite often, death) in the grim darkness of the far future. These tales shine a spotlight on the 41st Millennium's dizzying diversity of settings and factions, including some that you might not expect. Want a story from an Ork’s perspective? No problem. A look into the lives of the Aeldari? You bet. Hoping for a saga of some budding Space Wolves? It’s all coming your way.
Prepare to let your imagination run wild, as we’re about to reveal the titles of six episodes from the first series – each set in a different corner of the Warhammer 40,000 universe – along with screenshots that hint as to the characters, settings, and animation styles you'll be clapping eyes on when the full series drops. So, without further ado, here they are…
An Inquisitor's voyage back to Terra takes an unexpected turn. Callidus Assassins tend to have that effect on a situation.
A pair of Battle Sisters guard a sacred shrine against hordes of Chaos Cultists. Can faith prevail against brute ferocity?
Past and present brutally intertwine as an Aeldari Spiritseer scours the ruins of a ravaged craftworld.
They say that a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, and that's especially true in the dusty corners of this Librarium.
Three Space Wolves aspirants push themselves to the limits of endurance. Meanwhile, within the walls of The Fang, an altogether different contest unfolds.
Ghazghkull. Yarrick. Limbs getting snipped off by power klaws. This story's got it all.
Still with us? We wouldn't blame you if you'd fled for cover at the sight of that fearsome final image (although a Commissar might have something to say about your pitiable cowardice). Once you've recovered your composure, be sure to revisit our Warhammer Animations showreel for a glimpse of Hammer and Bolter in motion.
