We’re back this month with some more exciting narrative scenarios for the Middle-earth™ Strategy Battle Game. It’s time to muster the Rohirrim or build yourself an army worthy of Mordor as we explore the events of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers™. As Saruman would say, “To war!”.
Narrative Scenarios are the lifeblood of the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game, allowing players to recreate the iconic scenes from the films and books with their collections of miniatures. Picking your favourite scenes, assembling the relative forces, and playing through the battles is a great way to feel part of the story – whether trying to faithfully recreate the events or change the course of history.
This free PDF provides three new narrative scenarios, capturing some of the most exciting scenes from The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. Re-enact Éomer’s assault by moonlight upon Uglúk’s scouts with Merry and Pippin’s desperate escape, rouse the Ents of Fangorn as they seek to wash away the filth of Saruman, and recreate the epic siege of Helm’s Deep – one of the most iconic scenes in the entire trilogy.
Each scenario lists all the participants you will need to play through these iconic scenes from the movie, gives guidance on how to lay out your board, and provides a slew of special rules to adapt the gameplay and help make the battle feel just like the scenes you see on screen.
