In this week’s pre-orders, we’re plumbing the depths of the Wintermaw, corralling vermin on Necromunda, and pitting vast companies of tanks against towering God-engines in Legions Imperialis. Let’s dive right in.
Warhammer Underworlds: Wintermaw
The next core set for Warhammer Underworlds is here, taking us deeper beneath frozen Bjarl and into the harrowing depths of the Wintermaw, where warbands battle over magical treasures littered throughout rimewyrm hatcheries. This new set contains two new warbands. The Brethren of the Bolt, who are galvanised by the divine lightning of Sigmar, and the Skinnerkyn, twisted butchers who hunt prey to stock the festering larders of the royal courts.
On top of these brilliant new warbands and their unique decks, you’ll also get two other universal Rivals decks, Rimewymrn’s Bite and Hungering Parasite, plus all the dice, tokens, boards, and rules you need to play.
Outland Beastmaster with Giant Rat
There are rats everywhere in Necromunda, scurrying around the hives and the wastelands in great numbers. The Outland Beastmasters have taken to training the largest and most vicious of these vermin, deploying them in gang battles to great effect. This expert kit is made from Forge World resin and contains an Outland Beastmaster and a two-headed Wasteland Giant Rat.
Wasteland Giant Rats
There’s nothing stopping your Outland Beastmasters from nurturing multiple exotic horrors. The Wasteland Giant Rats kit is made from Forge World resin, and provides two extra giant rats to represent free-range wasteland rats, or those that live in the dank recesses of the hives.
Ash Waste Nomads Chieftain with Venom Caster
Ash Wastes Nomads are a mysterious lot, and their Chieftains are even more mysterious still, each a skilled warrior who leads their raiding parties across the wastelands. The Ash Wastes Chieftain is armed with a terrifying Venom Caster, which spews toxic material and ignores armour. This expert kit is made from Forge World resin.
Medusa and Basilisk Batteries
Pummel your foes from afar with concentrated artillery barrages unleashed by Medusa and Basilisk Batteries, both of which are perfectly suited for smashing fortifications and sending enemy formations into disarray. This box contains eight miniatures which can be built as either Auxilia Medusa Batteries or Auxilia Basilisk Batteries, and comes with a transfer sheet with 288 decals.*
Land Raider Proteus Explorator Squadron
Get your Space Marines and Terminators into the thick of it with the help of a Land Raider Proteus Explorator Squadron. These heavily armoured vehicles were a common sight during the Horus Heresy, lauded for their transport capacity, powerful engines, and armour-piercing twin-linked lascannons. This box contains six Land Raider Proteus miniatures and a vehicle transfer sheet with 1,130 decals.
Legiones Astartes – Drop Pods
If the terrain is too difficult for tanks to navigate, or enemy anti-armour makes transports a liability, you can always fire your Space Marines into battle via Drop Pods. These armoured capsules are launched from orbiting spacecraft and are a signature offensive strategy of the Legions. This box builds four Drop Pods with hinged doors, either as standard Legion Drop Pods or Deathstorm Drop Pods, which are packed with missile launchers. You also get a transfer sheet with 1,130 vehicle decals.*
Solar Auxilia Arvus Lighter
The Solar Auxilia don’t have access to Drop Pods, but they don’t care because they get to deploy to battle in Arvus Lighters. Known as the “little pig” to those who fly in them, these armoured shuttles may not have weapons, but they’re great at transporting Lasrifle Sections into battle. This box contains eight plastic Arvus Lighters, and a Solar Auxilia vehicle transfer sheet with 288 transfers.
Warhound Titans with Ursus Claws and Melta Lances
Warhound Titans are nimble hunters that pack a punch with a varied arsenal that can tackle anything from massed infantry to towering god-engines. This plastic kit contains two Warhound Titans and a new sprue of plastic weapons. You get two sets of ursus claws, natrix shock lances, volkite eradicators, missile pods (which can be built as shudder missiles or swarmer missiles), and Incisor-pattern melta lances, plus a transfer sheet with 118 transfers, and a set of Command Terminals and Weapon Cards so you can also use them in games of Adeptus Titanicus.*
Dire Wolf Heavy Scout Titans
Armed with more powerful weapons than their more agile brethren, Dire Wolf Heavy Scout Titans bring the apocalyptic punch of a Reaver or Warlord Titan to a faster chassis. This box contains two plastic Dire Wolf Heavy Scout Titans armed with a pair of arm-mounted Ardex mega-bolters, and a choice of volcano cannon, conversion beam dissipator, or neutron laser. You also get a transfer sheet with 118 transfers and a set of Command Terminals and Weapon Cards so that you can use these miniatures in games of Adeptus Titanicus.*
Endryd Haar, The Riven Hound
One of the first initiates created for the World Eaters by the Imperial Geneworks, Endryd Haar was uniquely positioned as one of the few of Angron’s sons not to be fitted with the Butcher’s Nails. Fiercely loyal to the Emperor, he rebelled against Angron and created the Fangs of the Emperor, a force for Space Marines who found themselves in similar situations. The Riven Hound is made from Forge World resin, wearing detailed battle-damaged MKV ‘Heresy’ armour and equipped with an archaeotech pistol and a Terrawatt-pattern gauntlet.
