Welcome to the first Warhammer Preview of 2024! The Las Vegas Open is one of the largest independent Warhammer tournaments in the world, which makes it the perfect place to reveal some awesome things coming in the first few months of the year.
Earlier today, we broadcast an awesome reveal show with some seriously cool miniatures – new Kroot! – and in case you want to follow along with everything as it happened, you can watch the entire Preview right here.
If reading is more your thing, or you want to zoom right into some photos to figure out exactly what the Croneseer is hiding behind her plume of hair, you can take a deep look into today’s reveals with the articles below.
Kill Team: Nightmare
We’ve already seen the vicious-looking Nemesis Claw kill team coming in Kill Team: Nightmare, so you must be wondering: what kind of terrifying being could possibly give them a run for their money? Mandrakes from the depths of Commorragh, that’s who.
Warcry: Pyre and Flood
Nagashizzar is the central city of the Realm of Death – a moody place lit by ethereal torches, and an entire caste of incandescent Nighthaunt keep the lights on with infusions of magic and flesh. Now, these Pyregheists have surfaced in the Ghurish jungle, and the only warriors truly equipped to take them down channel the elemental essence of Hysh’s riverways – the Ydrilan Riverblades.
Kroot Hunting Pack Army Set
We’re not too far from the release of Codex: T’au Empire, and this time it’s the turn of the original auxiliary melee specialists to pack out their roster with new miniatures. There’s Krootox cavalry, there’s new Shaper variants, and even updated Carnivores – all coming in an epic army set.
The Croneseer and Dawnbringers Book V
The Twin-tailed Crusade continues, and an ominous figure from the Daughters of Khaine is making her presence known. Far from one of Morathi-Khaine’s faithful, the Croneseer has an altogether different patron.
Callis and Toll
The Mortal Realms are full of nightmarish horrors, and those who dedicate their lives to hunting them are made of stern stuff. Enter Callis and Toll, a pair of heroes from the great city of Hammerhal, who are exploding onto the scene with new miniatures (including a familiar cat), a Black Library novel, and a starring role in Dawnbringers Book V.
Zondara’s Gravebreakers
Few come to the Deathgorge by choice, but love makes people do crazy things, and Zondara Rivenheart loved her partner Ferlain more than life itself. Which is convenient, as the quest to break her lover’s curse led her deep into the secrets of necromancy, and now she brings an entourage of undead horrors (and the transfigured Ferlain himself) into the dark depths of Ghur in search of salvation.
Solar Auxilia
Space Marines may be the stars of the Horus Heresy, but Humanity has other elite forces. These are the Solar Auxilia – the finest human soldiers in the galaxy – and now they’re set to show the Legio Astartes just what mortals can do with loads of brand new plastic miniatures.
