It’s a good day for fans of big red machines, as a new wave of Mechanicum vehicles and assault troops hit the field with lightning guns and deadly close combat weapons aplenty. Meanwhile, keeping the red theme, the untold story of Commander Farsight’s self-imposed exile and return to combat is here at last.

Karacnos Assault Tank
Rain radioactive death on the enemy with an ingenious fusion of the Triaros Armoured Conveyor and multiple batteries of mortar tubes – the Karacnos Assault Tank. This heavily armoured vehicle is an extremely resilient artillery tank that can survive a battering on the front line, and if the radiological flames of its rockets aren't enough, the lightning lock sponsons are sure to finish off their target.
Krios Battle Tank
For armoured spearheads, the Mechanicum developed the Krios Battle Tank – a fast and powerful vehicle that makes use of ancient technology to skirt around enemy forces and blow priority targets apart. Its primary lightning cannon is lethal to heavily armoured infantry, and particularly daring drivers can replace it with a short-ranged irradiation blaster with even greater firepower.

Alternatively, you can build this kit as a deadly Krios Venator – a dedicated tank-killer armed with a powerful but shorter-ranged pulsar-fusil.
Thanatar Calix Siege-automata
The mighty Thanatar Calix Siege-automata is the last word in bipedal vehicle-murdering,* carrying a giant Sollex heavy-las for punching holes right through the thickest armour plate. If you want the punching to be more literal, its chunky graviton ram can rip Terminators right in twain, and anything lucky enough to survive will still face a barrage from the wrist-mounted mauler bolt-cannon.
Ursarax Cohort
Much like their Thallax comrades, Ursarax Cohorts aren’t the automatons they seem to be, but rather the soft fleshy parts of veteran warriors stuffed into an iron shell and sent into battle once more. Freed from mortal concerns, they rocket into combat on powerful Utan jump boosters and shred enemies left and right with a pair of wicked lightning claws.

Farsight: Blade of Truth
The legendary Commander Farsight is dragged from his self-imposed exile to tangle with the Tyranids when the world he adopts as his home comes under attack. This new novel by Phil Kelly fills in the gap between Farsight’s early adventures and his return to the galaxy in the Second Agrellan Campaign, strapping into some brand new T’au Empire technology to fight back against the xenos hordes.
This new novel is available now in hardback, eBook, and audiobook formats.
* Not counting Knights and Titans, of course.
