It’s already been a great day for Gloomspite Gitz fans, with the announcement of a new battletome and lupine companions for Warhammer Age of Sigmar. There’s now even more good news – the next warband for Warhammer Underworlds: Gnarlwood are a group of gobbos masquerading as noble knights. Meet Grinkrak’s Looncourt.
These (ig)noble gitz have truly been touched by the Bad Moon. Hopped up on a combination of dizzying rhetoric and psychoactive fungi – both supplied by their leader Grinkrak – they believe themselves to be mighty Loonknights, sallying into the Gnarlwood on a heroic quest.
These incredibly characterful miniatures lean into the full charm of the greenskin range. In game, they use their numbers to swarm objective tokens – some of fighters even pack a surprising punch.*
Armed with an eclectic – and often organic – variety of weaponry, including a squigapult and a squig spear, the Looncourt are coming to Gnarlwood to claim glory (points), accompanied by the dulcet sounds of Snorbo’s spore trumpet. So if you hear the sound of dooting carried on the breeze, brace for a charge from the mighty Looncourt.
Grinkrak the Great is more likely to be leading from the back – fungal flower of chivalry though he might be, you don’t rise to the heady heights of warband leader by taking too many risks. But, of course, if anyone gets too close, he’s pretty handy with his moon-slicer.
He can even Inspire his knightly subjects with an impromptu dubbing ceremony mid-battle. But what’s a Quest objective? You can find out when we get a little bit closer to release, when we’ll also be looking at the Looncourt’s Rivals deck which lets you play them straight out of the box.

* Others don’t. They are, after all, still grots.
