Warhammer Heroes is everyone’s chance to reward those dedicated hobbyists who go the extra mile in your local communities, from organising tournaments and building clubs to supporting charities and bringing the joy of Warhammer to all. Your votes decide who is honoured each year, and anyone can be a part – you just need to let us know who are the most deserving recipients in your community!

This year we got to know of some truly phenomenal figures from around the world. Narrowing them down to our next crop of Warhammer Heroes was no easy task, so please put your hands together for this year’s winners!

Danny Bennet
As the founder of Guild of Gaming, a nonprofit tabletop club for young hobbyists, and a torchbearer for the use of Warhammer in teaching programs for neurodivergent youths, Danny is a transformative force for his local community in Dumfries and Galloway. His passion for teaching and improving the lives of children through his hobby is an inspiration to all, and the hallmark of a true Warhammer Hero through and through.
Hannah Wilson
Hannah took the reins of the Warhammer Society at the University of Derby a year and a half ago, and has been instrumental in expanding the group’s support for disabled and marginalised communities – leading to them being awarded the Most Inclusive Society award by the University’s student union and nearly doubling the member count in a short span of time!
Robert E. Allen III
With over 13 years under his belt using his passion for Warhammer to support his local community, Robert is a fixture of the community in Maryland whose charity fundraising has raised thousands of dollars for Child’s Play, Extra Life, and his local Grassroots Crisis Center shelter. In fact, we received so many detailed votes for Robert that it’s practically impossible to list all of his achievements!

Gustavo Darío Vásquez Durán & Ruth Margarita García López
Gustavo and Ruth have spent the past year promoting a safe and inclusive hobby space – Orko Trotzko – in the city of La Paz, Bolivia, with the aim of providing miniatures and resources so local fans can explore the worlds of Warhammer together. Their club now boasts over 200 members, with their efforts giving many who would otherwise not be able to participate a thriving community of builders, painters, and players to enjoy the hobby with.

Aaron Moshier
Aaron was inspired by his wife’s illness to form the Battle Against Breast Cancer charity initiative, joining a network of 26 individual tournaments together to raise over $22,000 for breast cancer foundations in its first year alone, with more than 600 players taking part and 23 artists from around the world – Aaron included – contributing art to a charity raffle.
Luke Stone
The founder and administrator of the Dadhammer support group for hobbyist fathers, Luke has created a powerful space for discussion and support for new and old dads with a shared passion for Warhammer.
Austin Featherstone
Austin’s support for the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game™ spans the breadth of the United States of America, founding clubs and supporting tournaments as far apart as Texas, Maryland, and Tennessee. Wherever the armies of Middle-earth™ are massing, he can be found, spreading his love for the game and providing both prizes and terrain for events wherever he can reach.

Steve Morrison
Steve is a champion for inclusivity and diversity in his local Warhammer scene, with his tireless work expanding a Warhammer Age of Sigmar club of just four members to over 180 active players. He’s also spearheaded an extensive army donation initiative to provide Warhammer resources for underprivileged hobbyists, bringing his love of the hobby to dozens who would otherwise miss out.
Tom Megens
As a tournament organiser of legendary repute, Tom is considered by many to be the cornerstone of the Dutch Warhammer community and an ardent champion of the Warhammer hobby. His support for competitive players at both ends of the spectrum makes his events immensely popular for all kinds of hobbyists, leading to his expertise being sought after far beyond the borders of his home country.
Matthias Weeks
Matthias isn’t just one of the founders of AdeptiCon – he’s also one of its most dedicated organisers, growing a small gathering of tabletop wargame fans into a massive multinational event with over a thousand tournaments, seminars, and workshops. As one of the largest independent events in the Warhammer calendar, AdeptiCon is a powerful force for community in the hobby space, and a phenomenal social resource for thousands of Warhammer fans.

Gelber Ricardo Cueva Núñez
When new players sought to develop a Warhammer community in Arequipa, Peru, Gelber – or Gel to his friends – stepped up to revitalise hobby and gaming events that had long laid dormant. His efforts alongside a tiny group of enthusiasts have sparked a huge surge of interest in his community, driven by Gel’s endless support and encouragement for his fellow hobbyists.
Filippo Floris
Filippo is the driving force behind the growing Warhammer community in Sardinia, organising dozens of events and regular tournaments as the president of the Officina del Mek group – a vital resource for the modest number of Warhammer fans on the island. Several testimonies hailed him as the lynchpin of the local community, and a stellar ambassador for Warhammer amidst the steadily growing population of hobbyists.
Stephen Manton-Kelley
When a fan took to social media to ask Stephen to build a few models for them after an MS diagnosis, he instead pulled out all the stops to turn this small request into a global fundraiser for the MS Society. Not only did his 24-hour paintathon raise over £1,800 for the charity, but he also assembled a huge 2,500-point army for his petitioner – who now has begun to learn to paint with their off-hand after being inspired by all the painters and influencers who took part.
All of these winners will soon be added to the online Roll of Honour and will join their fellow winners on the wall at Warhammer World later this year. Congratulations to you all, and thank you for making Warhammer the greatest hobby on Earth!
