The whole Cities of Sigmar range arrives for pre-order on Saturday, firmly returning the “mortal” to the Mortal Realms. Some of the finest painters from the wider community sent in their best painted Cities of Sigmar miniatures – here are some of our favourites.
Aleksandra has applied her prismatic style to the Alchemite Warforger, adding a healthy splash of colour to this usually soot-blackened character.
Marko has tackled a Freeguild Marshal in a similar fashion, focusing on rich purple and magenta tones.
Another dashing Marshal from regular contributor Darcy, who has picked the reliable complementary colours orange and blue.
Sam has honed in on the gritty, downtrodden nature of the Cities of Sigmar with a Freeguild Marshal and attendant Relic Envoy rendered in a grimy, muted green.
Stephanie has also opted for a colourful approach which makes fantastic use of colourful shadows and highlights.
Tiffany is repping the red and amber tones of Hammerhal Aqshy, framed by a black cape and weathered metallics.
There are 11 Cities of Sigmar with official ’Eavy Metal colour schemes, but the Mortal Realms are vast beyond imagination and these are only the major players. Vincent has painted 10 Freeguild Steelhelms, each from a different city.
Finally, Pete the Wargamer has performed some subtle conversion work – a pistol here, a curved sabre there – to create a frosty Marshal.
Thanks to everyone who took part. Every miniature above can be pre-ordered this weekend, alongside a whole bunch of other Cities of Sigmar reinforcements, including cannons, knights, and monster-riding mercenaries.
