This year’s Armies on Parade awards show is over, and what an incredible showcase of your hobby skills it was. We were positively buried under submissions this year, and that got us thinking – how could we possibly make the next one even bigger and better?
The answer’s simple – we make it last an entire year. We’re still having a glamorous awards show towards the end of the year as always, but Armies on Parade 2022 will now be kicking off in January for an entire year packed with hobby guides, painting tips, and activities.
This means that Armies on Parade will last throughout 2022, and there’ll be milestones you can celebrate every other month leading up to the main event, each preparing a different aspect for your main entry – and building up to an amazing army you can be proud of at the end of it all.
Every other month from this January, we’ll be giving you a theme to work on as part of the build-up to submissions opening. You’ll find plenty of articles to help you out on Warhammer-Community.com, along with previews for the next theme so you can get a head start.
This will all lead up to the awards show, where your completed work will be on display for the world to see. By following each of the bimonthly themes, you’ll have a full Armies on Parade entry ready just in time for submissions in November.
January’s theme will be something veteran hobbyists are already familiar with – New Year, New Army.
And that’s just the first category. There are six in total, running in two-month windows that span the whole year and leading up to the grand finale.
January – February: New Year New Army
March – April: Battlefield Behemoths
May – June: Gods of War
July – August: Wizards and War Machines
September – October: Fields of Battle
November: The Grand Finale
It wouldn’t be a year-long parade without some actual parading, so share your work with us each month using #ArmiesOnParade2022 and we’ll pick some to feature at Warhammer Community.
You can even choose your 2022 army right now! Kick it off in the best way with a Start Collecting set or a Combat Patrol.
