This week’s Saturday Pre-order is a double-header as the Empire of Man exert their power in the Old World and new vehicles roll out in the Horus Heresy. On top of that, there are some classic Blood Bowl miniatures available via Made to Order, and three Black Library books.
General Hans von Löwenhacke
The City States that make up the Empire of Man fight amongst themselves as frequently as they unite to battle enemies assailing their borders. Regardless of foe or the employer, General Hans von Löwenhacke is more than willing to command a contingent of mercenaries to victory, as long as it brings the Empire closer to reunification. This miniature sports a fearsome moustache and an impressive helmet, and he is cast in Forge World resin.
Harald Gemunsen, Grand Master of the Knights Panther
Among all the Knightly Orders of the empire, the Knights Panther are the greatest, rising above political strife to protect the Empire of Man beyond all else. They are led by Grand Master of the Order, Harald Gemunsen, an incomparable warrior and master strategist who has rubbed shoulders with some of the highest and mightiest across the lands. This formidable general is made from Forge World resin.
Three Wizards and Familiars
Before the Colleges of Magic were founded, wizards still plied their arcane trade across the Empire of Man, often hiding their true power from the superstitions and laws of the various provinces. Three wizards and their familiars are available separately, made of Forge World resin: the Battle Wizard, Necromancer Wizard and Elementalist.
Empire State Troops
Empire State Troops are the professional soldiers maintained by each province as a standing army. This plastic kit contains 30 miniatures, including enough command options to make two units of 15, and an Empire of Man transfer sheet comprising 290 decals.*
State Missile Troops
State Missile Troops are similarly well-trained professionals, equipped with crossbows and handguns to provide deadly ranged support. This plastic kit contains 30 miniatures, including enough command options to make two units of 15, and an Empire of Man transfer sheet comprising 290 decals.*
Empire Archers
Trappers and hunters from the wilder provinces serve as Archers for the Empire, supporting blocks of infantry and dousing cavalry charges with deadly and accurate bow fire. They can act as scouts, sneaking ahead to surveil the enemy forces before picking off war machine crews and other key targets. This plastic kit contains 20 miniatures, including enough command options to make two units of 10, and contains an Empire of Man transfer sheet comprising 290 decals.*
Empire Greatswords
Distinguished infantrymen who have been personally chosen to serve amongst the ranks of the elite are inducted into the ranks of the Empire Greatswords. Armed with two-handed swords that can handily cleave an Orc in two, these warriors have sworn to fight to the last. This plastic kit contains 20 miniatures, including enough command options to make two units of 10, and contains an Empire of Man transfer sheet comprising 290 decals.*
Flagellants
The Empire of Man has its fair share of strife – war, infighting, plagues and natural disasters – positive proof, according to some, that the end of days is nigh. Those who succumb to eschatological despair band together under the banners of ranting preachers, becoming Flagellants that follow armies to war and spread messages of doom. This plastic kit contains 30 miniatures, including enough command options to make two units of 15, and contains an Empire of Man transfer sheet comprising 290 decals.*
Empire Steam Tank
Rolling into battle with smoke belching from its chimney and steam-powered guns, the Empire Steam Tank is the premier war machine of the Empire of Man. Designed and maintained by the College of Engineers, shot and arrow bounce off their armoured hulls as they crush enemy warriors beneath their bulk. This plastic kit contains one Empire Steam Tank.
Helblaster Volley Gun & Helstorm Rocket Battery
The Imperial Engineering School is always concocting new ways to blow up their foes and two of their most enduring inventions are the Helblaster Volley Gun and the Helstorm Rocket Battery. The former is a black powder weapon designed to obliterate regiments with volleys from its nine gun barrels, while the latter launches erratic but devastating rocket fusillades. This plastic kit can build two of each, and comes with six crew and a selection of battlefield accessories.
Captain of the Empire
A Captain of the Empire may be of lower rank than a General, but they are no less loyal to their cause, and command the respect of their troops as they lead them into battle. This plastic kit has a choice of two head options.
Empire Engineer with Hochland Long Rifle
The boffins of the Imperial Engineers School in Altdorf don’t spend all of their time cooped up indoors with their experiments, and some feel a great need to put their latest inventions to use on the battlefield. This Empire Engineer can be built either with a Hochland Long Rifle or a telescope – the former being rather more deadly than the latter!
Witch Hunter
Witch Hunters roam the lands in search of the taint of Chaos or evil in service of the many gods of the Empire. This miniature is made from metal.
Empire of Man Grand Masters
Grand Masters are the pinnacle of the Knightly Orders of the Empire. Capable warriors may one day hope to reach the rank of Chapter Master, but only the most assiduous can ever hope to become Grand Master. Three separate Grand Masters are available for the Knightly Orders of the Blazing Sun, Knights Panther and the White Wolf. Each is a metal miniature sat atop a plastic steed.
Warrior Priests of Sigmar and Ulric
The warrior priests of Sigmar and Ulric ride into battle alongside their fellow soldiers, spouting dogma and strengthening the will of their followers. They are available as a single metal Warrior Priest of Sigmar armed with two hammers, a set of three Warrior Priests in metal, and two metal Warrior Priests of Ulric, one mounted, the other on foot.
Sir Cecil Gastonne the Wyrm Slayer
Freshly revealed and leaping straight into battle for the Kingdom of Bretonnia, Sir Cecil Gastonne the Wyrm Slayer is a noble with a knack for slaying terrible fiends. He killed Norndrak the Tyrant and fashioned its hide into a cloak which protects him as he charges into battle with his magical axe Sorrow’s End. He is made from Forge World resin, and his rules can be found in Arcane Journal: Kingdoms of Bretonnia.
Frydaal the Chainmaker
The Empire’s coastline is constantly under threat from raiders from the frozen northern wastes, but few of these corsairs and pillagers are as deadly as Frydaal the Chainmaker. Few can stand against Storm’s Wrath, the mighty flail she wields with strength enhanced by the Dark Gods. She is made from Forge World resin.
Galrauch, the Great Drake
Once known as the Gold Drake, the mighty dragon Galrauch has been warped beyond recognition by the powers of the Great Deceiver. Somewhere deep within, however, his spirit continues to rage against this terrible fate. Twin heads spit the same warping energy that transformed his body into its corrupted form, reducing his foes into writhing abominations that shriek and gibber. Galrauch, the Great Drake returns to the range in metal.
Burlok Damminson
Burlock Damminson is a pioneer among the Dwarfen engineers, a maverick who pushes boundaries and tempers beyond their limits with explosive innovations. Like all who pursue the craft of creating war machines, he is just as at home on the battlefield as he is in his workshop, testing his weapons against live targets and tinkering with their output. He is made of Forge World resin.
Deredeo Dreadnought – Boreas Configuration
The Deredeo Pattern Dreadnought was designed as a heavy weapons platform, hanging back to unleash devastating attacks at range. The Boreas Configuration Deredeo is named after its air defence missiles, and wields either twin deflagrating volkite falconets, or a pair of armour piercing Arachnus heavy lascannon batteries. There is also a choice of heavy bolters or flamers, with various cosmetic options, and a Legiones Astartes vehicle transfer sheet with 44 decals.
Deredeo Weapon Sets
Add more variety to your death-dealing Deredeo with a choice of two plastic weapons sets. The first contains an Aiolos missile launcher, a pair of Anvilus autocannon batteries and a pair of Hellfire plasma cannonades. The second contains a set of Boreas air defence missiles, a pair of volkite falconets and a pair of Arachnus heavy lascannon batteries.
Arvus Lighter
Colloquiality known as ‘the Little Pig’ due to its boxy, un-aerodynamic appearance, the Arvus Lighter is a light utility shuttle used to transfer Lasrifle Sections and Command Units to key battle locations with expediency. Available for the first time in plastic, this kit also comes with a Divisio Aeronautica transfer sheet with 149 decals.**
Malcador Infernus
Armed with a massive centreline inferno cannon, the Malcador Infernus unleashes torrents of ignited promethium that incinerate its targets. These huge belches of flame are perfect for torching infantry hunkered down in dense terrain, or clearing out minefields that have been deployed to delay the advance of the Solar Auxilia. This plastic kit has an option for sponson mounted heavy flamers, heavy bolters, lascannons, autocannons and multi-lasers, alongside an array of other upgrades, and comes with a Solar Auxilia transfer sheet with 180 decals.**
Valdor Tank Destroyer
The Solar Axuilia’s premier tank destroyer is armed with a neutron laser – a relic of the Dark Age of Technology which will vaporise pretty much anything you put in front of it. The Valdor Tank Destroyer has options for sponson-mounted heavy flamers, heavy bolters, lascannons, autocannons and multi-lasers, alongside an array of other upgrades, and comes with a Solar Auxilia transfer sheet comprising 180 decals.

Red Tithe (special edition)
The prison world of Zartak is a grim place, but it’s about to become even worse as the savage butchers of the Night Lords descend in search of a single inmate with unnatural talents. The arrival of Space Marines would usually be enough to restore some hope, but it is the Carcharodon Astra that have followed the scent of blood to Zartak, and now two packs of ferocious predators stalk the corridors, hungering for fresh prey to kill. This special edition of Red Tithe by Robbie MacNiven is numbered and signed by the author, and includes a fantastic embossed cover, a ribbon bookmark, and the short story The Reaping Time. It is available while stocks last.
Grombrindal: Ancestor’s Burden
The ancient sky-city of Barak-Thryng is under attack by the Gloomspite Gitz, and into this torrid conflict steps the White Dwarf. Grombrindal: Ancestor’s Burden by Chris Thursten collects six short stories previously published in White Dwarf magazine and adds a new short novel – The Maker’s Promise. You can pre-order it now in hardback, eBook, or audiobook formats.
The Dark Coil: Damnation
Peter Fehervari’s Dark Coil stories connect seemingly disparate events into an intricate web that envelops the grim darkness of the far future. Some of these strands run deep, yet are so subtle that you may not have even noticed them, but both novels and seven short stories have been linked together into The Dark Coil: Damnation, an anthology that gives you all the temporal puzzle pieces you need to construct the greater picture. You can pre-order it now in paperback and eBook formats.
