Fantastic Flesh-eater Courts Painted by the Warhammer Hobby Community

Be not deceived – the procession of noble lords, chivalric knights, and servile serfs announced for pre-order this coming Saturday are in fact a grisly gathering of the Flesh-eater Courts. Some of our favourite painters from the Warhammer hobby community have been sucked into this parody of nobility, returning with a parade of lovingly painted horrors.

Marko Miladinović and Aleksandra Cvetanovski kick things off with their trademark style. All of these miniatures ooze a creepy atmosphere thanks to some seriously dramatic lighting, and the mix of colours really hammer home the sickly nature of the ghouls.

This Varghulf Courtier by Tiffany Cosset absolutely nails the horror vibe of the gangly creature, stalking over a vivid gory landscape that is reflected in the cold skin of the beast.

Every member of the Cryptguard is full of morbid character, and Thibaut has really brought this out with sickly jaundiced yellows, warm rusted metal, and lots of textural work. Why not grab your own from your nearest Warhammer store and try something similar?

Morbheg Knights are some of the most valorous chevaliers in the carrion courts, and Tres Hyde has done great work contrasting bestial skin and fur against grisly ghoul riders, combined with lots of stomach-churning flayed skin on shields, banners, and reins.

Christine Coram’s Varghulf Courtier and Abhorrant Gorewarden combine vibrant green, deep oranges, and a rich purple together in a classic triadic colour scheme.

Garfy has also painted the same two miniatures with a completely different palette. The pale colour scheme, with its subtle blending on the arms and legs, shows how differently you can approach your Flesh-eater Courts.

Ushoran is the crowning jewel of the Flesh-eater Courts, and Vincent Knotley has found the time to paint this majestic monarch. Ruddier flesh tones and bright white ermine fur create a really unique look.

Closing us out are a triumvirate of pallid potentates – Ushoran, the Grand Justice Goremayne, and an Abhorrant Cardinal courtesy of Nyara from the La Voz de Sigmar podcast.

Thank you to everyone who sent in miniatures. Keep an eye on our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter/X pages to see lots of other brilliant miniatures painted by our wonderful community! You can pre-order everything featured above from Saturday, when all of the Flesh-eater Courts miniatures will be available alongside their battletome. Remember, they’ll be on a two-week pre-order window, as has become standard.
