Fresh from the action-packed triple-whammy of The Tithes, you’re doubtless keen to know what’s next on your animated Warhammer watchlist.
There’s plenty on the slate, and we’ve prepared a quick peek at what you have to look forward to in the coming months.
The next animation on its way to Warhammer TV is Return to Cadia, a standalone tale in the Hammer and Bolter anthology series. Unlike previous episodes, this latest story is a fully rendered 3D feast, in the same style as The Tithes.
Return to Cadia follows a band of pilgrim Guardsmen as they journey to pay their respects at a Shrine of Martyrs dedicated to those who died heroically in the last great battle of Cadia. But in typical Warhammer fashion, things do not go to plan.
As you can see from the ominous first screenshot, a veteran Guardsman – no stranger to the myriad terrors of the galaxy – is clearly unnerved by whatever he has uncovered. As much horror as action, Return to Cadia is set to be an animation dripping in gothic atmosphere and tension.
Warhammer Age of Sigmar fans can look forward to the next instalment of Blacktalon in 2025. The first season left our heroine with many unanswered questions about her origin and a mistrust of her own memories. There is no time to ponder these inner demons, however, as Sigmar’s huntress is thrown right back into the action.
Neave and the whole gang are back: the Blacktalons have been reforged after their last bruising victories, ready to track down evil and hit it with a hammer/sword/arrow/fish (delete as appropriate).
The season begins in Hammerhal, the greatest city in the Mortal Realms, where Sigmar’s chosen track a shadowy agent of Chaos through the sprawling streets – Warhammer+ subscribers can rewatch the first season here.
Kill Lupercal is the first Warhammer animated series set during the Horus Heresy. We follow the Princeps of one of Terra’s last loyal Titans in the closing hours of the Siege of Terra, as she gets an opportunity to deliver a decisive blow to the traitor forces.
Knowing that this may well be their final battle, the god-machines walk, vowing to go down fighting. Expect apocalyptic levels of both firepower and drama. Check out this short clip from the first episode:
