Darkoath and Slaves to Darkness Gather for a Community Painting Extravaganza

It’s a good time to be on the side of Chaos, as the right hand of Archaon runs roughshod over the Cities of Sigmar and Darkoath tribes maraud their way across the realms. Painters from across the Warhammer hobby community have also been pledging themselves to the Dark Powers – no doubt selling their souls for devilish painting skills – and have come back with a horde of incredibly painted newcomers to Warhammer Age of Sigmar.

Abraxia, Spear of the Everchosen

Three adventurous artists tackled the Spear of the Everchosen herself. Chrissie and Virginia opted for light and pale colours to give their renditions of Abraxia a chilly, sombre appearance, while Emma went completely the other way with a burst of colour that would be right at home amidst the Realms of Chaos.

Darkoath Wilderfiends

The flesh-hungry beasts known as Wilderfiends proved to be incredibly popular, with monstrously magnificent examples from Chris, Chrissie, Garfy, and Jessica setting a high bar.

Plenty of Darkoath must have messed up their oaths, because we’ve got even more Wilderfiends waiting in the wings. JP, Kenny, Rob, and Zach all brought out the savage nature of their beasts with powerful colour schemes and incredible details.

Darkoath

The mortal Darkoath tribes are just as wild and ferocious as the grotesque creatures who watch over them. Alison, Brennan, Campbell, and Darcy brought a wide selection of their miniatures to life with examples from Chieftains, Marauders, and even a few members of Brand’s Oathbound.

Even more came to fight when they heard Sigmar was getting a kicking, with representatives from Emma, Oliver, Sam, and Thor showing the Darkoath at their best.

And, once again, a community painting showcase wouldn’t be complete without a selection of colourful combatants courtesy of Vincent Knotley.

Thanks to all our contributors for their hard work, including those we couldn’t fit into the article. If that isn’t enough to prove that Darkoath look amazing in any colour you can think of, we don’t know what is. All of the miniatures you’ve seen here today go up for pre-order tomorrow alongside the epic conclusion to the Dawnbringers saga – Hounds of Chaos – so get your Chaos incursion started before the new edition drops endless waves of Skaven onto your ambitions of conquest.
