The Mortal Realms have been in upheaval since the Vermindoom erupted, and incursions from Blight City have now pockmarked all eight realms. Now in the Hour of Ruin, conflict is everywhere – from grand battles to small-scale skirmishes.
Sigmar has given the big comet-shaped stamp of approval for the Ruination chamber to join Warcry in the fight against the new Skaven threat. The Darkoath and Brand’s Oathbound – those unwitting souls who helped usher in the Vermindoom – are arrayed against them.
The eroded souls of the Ruination chamber provide a near-immunity to many negative effects, their Ancient Aura suffocating abilities used by nearby fighters.
Their Warbands are made up of Prosecutors, Reclusians, and a variety of heroes such as the Lord-Vigilant on Gryph-stalker, Lord-Terminos, Lord-Veritant, and the upcoming Knight-Azyros. As you’d expect, the lightning-scoured Reclusians are tough as nails, and by drawing on the anchoring presence of Memorians reminding them of Memories of Past Glories they can fight with uncanny alacrity.

Darkoath warbands have access to a wide selection of fighters including the Darkoath Chieftain on Warsteed, Fellriders, Marauders, and even the lurking terror and tribe guardian that is the Darkoath Wilderfiend.

Fans of chiselled abs, immaculate haircuts, and dubious agreements with despicable deities are in for additional treats with rules for using Brand’s Oathbound in games of Warcry. Gunnar and Singri Brand are joined by Warqueen Tanari, Broken Nadja, and Dendrel Direbrand.
They benefit from the Oath of Murder, while Gunnar Brand can Carve a Path to Glory, becoming even more capable when favoured by his patrons.

On top of all of that, there are new Rules Updates and Designer's Commentary documents, bringing balance tweaks and new fighters for existing factions. The Skaven reinforce their flea-bitten hordes with the Claword on Gnawbeast, Warplock Engineer, and newly equipped Rat Ogors, while the Knight-Questor and Thunderstrike-armoured Liberators prepare to quash them.
Last year’s changes to the Ironjawz Ardboys are also reflected in the update, which introduces the Arbdoy Boss, and updates existing Ardboy profiles to match their new options.
