Shake off those January blues by planning your events calendar for the rest of the year. Tournaments big and small are taking place at Warhammer World during May, and we’ve got details and dates below.
Squeeze in a four-game Blood Bowl Sevens tournament in just one day with Blood Bowl: Blitzing Sevens. There will be awards for painting, performance, and special nods for touchdowns and casualties as well as a provided lunch that would satisfy the hungriest halfling.
This event takes place on Wednesday the 7th of May.
Gamers aged 16 and under can take their first steps into the world of organised gaming with the Warhammer 40,000 Legion Recruits event. Play three 1,000-point games on one day, with lunch and exhibition entry provided. Players will compete for prizes that cover painting and the most sporting player. Attending adults and guardians can also buy a ticket that covers lunch.
This event takes place on Saturday the 10th of May.
Younger Warhammer Age of Sigmar players can enjoy the same experience with Chamber Initiates, which has the same arrangement as the event above, though players battle it out in the Mortal Realms instead.
This event takes place on Sunday the 11th of May.
Fellowship and bonds between friends are the fundamentals of Middle-earth™, and with the Middle-earth Team Event you can live out your dreams of battle side by side with a friend. Teams of four – two with Good armies and two with Evil armies – will face off against each other in five games over two days. Lunch is included on both days, and players can also enter two painting competitions and take part in the Green Dragon Inn™ Pub Quiz while competing for glory and other awards.
This event takes place on the weekend of the 17th and 18th of May.
Get a taste of the epic battles in the Mortal Realms with Contest of Heroes, a one-day Warhammer Age of Sigmar tournament. You’ll play three 1,000-point games and compete for a variety of awards including best player, most sporting, and best painted army. You also get lunch included for an all-in-one day out.
This event takes place on Wednesday the 21st of May.
Recruit a team of cutthroat operatives and brush on your covert ops for Kill Team: Critical Strike V. You’ll play six games over two days that take place over a variety of Killzones. Lunch will be provided, and you’ll also be able to take part in both a player-voted Kill Team painting competition, and another judged by the Events team alongside awards best generals and favourite player.
This event takes place on the weekend of the 24th and 25th of May.
Test your mettle in a series of magnificent melees in the Mortal Realms with the Warhammer Age of Sigmar Throne of Skulls event. More casual than a full tournament, but no less exciting, you’ll play five games across two days with lunch provided, and prove your worth as a tactician, sporting player, and also painter if you so choose.
This event takes place on the weekend of the 31st of May and 1st of June.
