Saturday Pre-orders – The Black Library Celebration 2025

Our annual celebration of the best Warhammer novels is here once again, with two new Black Library heroes coming to plastic, and a plenty of new books to fill your shelves. And that’s not all, as the cybernetic forces of the Mechanicum roll out their latest war machines alongside new Loyalist and Traitor heroes.

Hell’s Last

Minka Lesk and the Cadian 101st have fought in some hellish environments since their narrow escape from the destruction of their homeworld, but the deadly jungle world of Alia may be the most dangerous yet. Lesk and her hard-bitten company of guardsmen are forced to fight there when darkness rises in the Gallows cluster in Hell’s Last by Justin D Hill. This is available for pre-order now in hardback, eBook, and audiobook formats.

Shade of Khaine

Upon his arrival in the Mortal Realms, the legendary slayer Gotrek was joined by a mysterious aelven assassin for several adventures, and Maleneth Witchblade now strikes out on her own for her first solo novel: Shade of Khaine by Evan Dicken. Maleneth is on the run from the Order of Azyr, but even her former haunt in the city of Nightcliff offers no sanctuary as her coven lies in tatters and Khaine has been usurped by an enemy of almighty power.

Shade of Khaine is available to pre-order now in hardback, eBook, and audiobook formats.

Blood of the Imperium

The 41st Millennium is a dangerous place, and thousands of conflicts bloom and die far from the notice of its inhabitants. These constant internecine battles are the subject of Blood of the Imperium, a new compilation of previously released short stories covering a range of factions from authors Mike Brooks, Adrian Tchaikovsky, Jude Reid, Marc Collins and others, featured alongside Jon Flindall’s four-part story Tome Keepers: Legacy of Defiance.

Blood of the Imperium is available to pre-order now in paperback, and eBook formats.

Fifteen Hours

Follow the trials and tribulations of a single guardsman when they’re plunged into a conflict that, statistically speaking, will claim their life in just Fifteen Hours. Can they make it through their first day on the front line, and perhaps even make a difference in the gruelling war against the Orks?

This classic novel by Michael Scanlon returns in a brand new 20th Anniversary Edition hardback, featuring an additional introduction.

Gotrek and Maleneth: The Omnibus

Brush up on Maleneth Witchblade’s adventures with the irascible duardin Gotrek in Gotrek and Malaneth: The Omnibus, which collects The Bone Desert by Robbie MacNiven, alongside The Neverspike, Ghoulslayer, Gitslayer, Death on the Road to Svardheim, Soulslayer, and The Crown of Karak-Khazhar – all by Daris Hinks – plus The Dead Hours by David Guymer.

This compilation is available to pre-order now in paperback and eBook formats.

Grey Seer

The first winner of the Black Library Reader’s Choice award for 2024 is here in a new paperback release, as the infamous skaven Grey Seer Thanquol plots his rise to prominence by poisoning the Empire city of Altdorf. All that stands in his way is a veritable swarm of subordinates, superiors, smugglers, and mysterious sorcerers looking to claim their own slice of the warpstone pie. No biggie.

C L Werner’s Grey Seer is available for pre-order now in paperback.

Titanicus

The Legio Invicta heads to the forge world of Orestes after a long and arduous campaign, but their hopes for rest and refit are shattered when a force of Chaos Titans ambushes them on arrival. To make matters worse, a religious schism has begun to shatter the local Adeptus Mechanicus forces, and Legio Invicta must overcome both obstacles to survive in Titanicus by Dan Abnett – the second Reader’s Choice winner now available to pre-order in a new paperback edition.

French language releases

Three new books are joining the catalogue in French, alongside a French-language edition of the Black Library Celebration 2025 Anthology (available while stocks last). Readers can pick up Gotrek and Malaneth: The Omnibus, Hell’s Last, and Interceptor City in new paperback and ebook editions.

German language releases

Likewise, German readers can get their hands on the same three books – and the free Celebration collection while stocks last – in their own language for the first time. Gotrek and Malaneth: The Omnibus, Hell’s Last, and Interceptor City are all available to pre-order now in paperback and eBook editions.

Mechanicum Heavy Support Force

Sound the war horns of Mars with the Mechanicum Heavy Support Force, a powerful addition to your Mechanicum army containing three massive new multi-part plastic kits. The Thanatar Calix Siege-automata is equipped with a potent sollex heavy-las and graviton ram for sundering armoured targets, while the Krios Strike Tank can tackle multiple different adversaries with a choice of a lightning cannon or irradiation blaster. It can also be built as a Krios Venator with a pulsar fusil. Lastly, the Karacnos Assault Tank bombards infantry with a horrifying radiological mortar battery. This set also includes two Mechanicum Macro Constructs Transfer Sheets, each comprising 394 transfers.*

Arcuitor Magisterium

The secrets of Mechanicum technology are defended by the agents of pure logic known as the Arcuitors Magisterium – uncompromising guardians of tech-purity who hunt down heretical practitioners and wipe them from the records. This is an expert kit made of Forge World resin, and comes with an extra little attendant as a treat.

Secutarii Axiarch

While Titans are machines of utter destruction, they struggle to defend themselves against dedicated infantry forces which can get under the reach of their guns and attack their vulnerable legs. The job of protecting them from such assaults falls to the elite Secutarii, led by Axiarchs clad in armour forged from the battle plate of a fallen Titan to remind them of their duty.

The Secutarii Axiarch is an expert kit made from Forge World resin.

Iron Hands Legion Praetor

The Iron Hands legion are obsessed with augmenting their own bodies, with their greatest leaders undergoing ever greater refits to enhance their already prodigal abilities. This resin Iron Hands Legion Praetor is accordingly equipped with some serious upgrades and joined by a cyber-familiar, and is supplied with a choice of two heads.

Iron Warriors Warsmith

The siege-masters of the Iron Warriors legion are known as Warsmiths, equally capable of repairing their own war machines while destroying those of their opponents. This new Forge World resin Warsmith is clad in custom Cataphractii terminator armour reminiscent of Purturabo’s own battle plate, comes with two head options, and hefts a massive graviton crusher to inflict Haywire hits on even the largest of vehicles.

Caster of Runes

What does one do if they hate all forms of warp-spawned power but still want to make their air crackle with a wave of their hand? Why, they call upon the ‘heart of Fenris’ to bequeath wondrous abilities unto them. The Casters of Runes are just such practitioners, specialists of the Space Wolves legion who are powerful supporting characters whatever justification they conjure. This miniature is cast in Forge World resin and has a choice of two heads.

Loyalist Herald Consul

Those who fought the gruelling battles of the Horus Heresy did so under banners and standards blessed by the Primarchs, and toppling or claiming one was often considered as high a priority as slaying an enemy general. The Loyalist Herald Consul is a regal hero hefting the standard of their legion, cast in Forge World resin and supplied with a choice of two heads.

Traitor Herald Consul

Do you feel like hefting a standard with a great big eye on it rather than a tired and gauche eagle motif? Are your traitorous brethren in dire need of a rally point beyond the walls of the Imperial Palace? Well lucky you, the Herald Consul is also available in Traitor livery, cast in Forge World resin and with a choice of two heads.

Loyalist Overseer Consul

As the Horus Heresy ground on, mounting losses forced Legions to draw troops from the Solar Auxillia to bolster the ranks. These supplementary troops were under the charge of the Overseer Consuls, who ensured they worked in close cohesion with their enhanced comrades and upheld the honour of their Legion without fail. This resin Loyalist Overseer Consul leads with stirring oratory and heroic example, and comes with two head options.

Traitor Overseer Consul

If you’re less concerned with the well-being of your newly conscripted underlings and would rather just lash obedience into them before the Warmaster comes knocking, opt instead for the decidedly more ominous Traitor Overseer Consul. Their crackling whips are sure to instil fear into your auxilia, and two head options completing this Forge World resin miniature.

Warhammer 40,000 Water Canteen

Whether you’re reading an epic novel, throwing dice on the tabletop or sitting down for a marathon painting session, it’s important to remain hydrated. The Warhammer 40,000 Water Canteen is themed after those carried by the Astra Militarum – it’s made of aluminium, comes with a synthetic leather jacket which features an Astra Militarum pin badge, and can carry a litre of the life-giving liquid of your choice.**
