Jolly Red Gobbos from across the Warhammer Hobby Community

On the 17th day of Grotmas, Gork (or Mork) gave to us 10 wonderfully painted A-Bomb-inable Snowmen from the desks of our treasured community of Warhammer painters.*

We’ve been seeing loads of your own takes on this festive commemorative miniature since he landed on the shelves, and as usual we sent a few away to big names in the painting crowd to have a play around with.

Brennan, Chris, Chrissie, and Jon did some sterling work, with Jon’s additional basing snow and presents all over and Chrissie’s reassuring (if somewhat suspect) sign a particular standout.

Matt, May, Rob, Tres, and Miss Contagion also gave da Red Gobbo his traditional scarlet coat to befit the season, with a wide variety of snow effects giving each one its own distinct look. We’re also impressed that everyone went the extra mile to add stripes to the candy cane.

Well, nearly everyone.

We’re not sure if Knotley is still in a Halloween mood, but we do know the only thing stopping him from painting ten different Gobbos in a whirlwind of colour is that we only sent him one.** There are many different worlds in the 41st Millennium, however, so maybe this is just one where the snow is red. Phenomenal work nonetheless.

Have you painted your own version of Da Red Gobbo's A-bomb-inable Snowman yet? If so, make sure to show us on Facebook and Twitter/X.

* Editor’s note: these lyrics need work.

** Don’t worry, we won’t count it against his streak.
