There’s a new trailer for the third episode of The Tithes coming in hot today. Watch it below:
During the first two episodes of this three-part animated anthology series, we’ve witnessed the assorted superhumans of the Imperium secure two essential tithes: gene-seed to replenish the ranks of the Space Marines, and psykers to fuel the Imperium’s insatiable appetite for Astropaths, Librarians, sanctioned Battle Psykers, and other, grimmer purposes.
There’s not a transhuman in sight in the third and final instalment, however. Now it’s up to the mortal humans of the Imperium to contend with an old enemy: Orks.
The tithe we witness in this episode is more prosaic than previously – ammunition, an essential component for the Imperium’s many wars. Bullets, power cells, battery packs, and other munitions of all sorts are churned out in vast quantities by sprawling Manufactorums, but there is never enough.
We can assume a great many of these aforementioned bullets will find their final destination embedded in an Ork, which notoriously take quite a lot to bring down!
The delivery crew for this supply run is a squad of elite Cadian Kasrkin, accompanied by a particularly grizzled and battle-scarred Commissar. Toting hotshot lasguns and grenade launchers, it’s clear that package delivery is a serious business in the 41st Millennium.
This episode will be the first time we’ve seen the pilots of the Imperial Navy in an animation, as they fly in support. A wing of Thunderbolts can be seen trading fire with a squadron of Ork Dakkajets, intent on downing the Imperial transports.
This is a tale replicated in hundreds of Imperial war zones across the galaxy – the constant churn of war, the unending need to resupply the forces of the Astra Militarum and the Imperial Navy, and the unremitting battle against Humanity’s most tenacious xenos adversary.
The Tithes Episode 3: Bullets will be available to watch on Warhammer TV next week, exclusively for Warhammer+ subscribers.
Episodes 1 and 2, Sacrifice and Harvest, are available to watch now.
